COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
One of the earliest examples of the Russian Imperial Stout in the United States, Expedition Stout offers immensely complex flavors crafted specifically with vintage aging in mind, as its profile will continue to mature and develop over the years. A huge malt body is matched to a heady blend of chocolate, dark fruits, and other aromas. Intensely bitter in its early months, the flavors will slowly meld and grow in depth as the beer ages.
Available October-March.

Please start export this to Sweden, Bells. Pours a thick black with a oily brown head. Flavour is packed with dark chocolate along with some smooth coffee notes, a bit of caramel and a hint of red berries. Medium-strong but smooth roastiness that follows through from the first sip to long after youíve finished the beer. Thereís a very quick notion of chocolatey sweetness before the roasty bitterness takes over completely and builds up itself. There is no alcohol in the flavour whatsoever, only a very slight warming sensation which makes this beer very drinkable. I still took over an hour to finish a 12 oz bottle but only because I wanted the goodness to last for as long as possible. Just a notch above almost every imperial stout Iíve ever tried.

Bottle. Black with a thin tan head. Aroma is sweet chocolate, roasted malt, and bourbon. The taste adds espresso and dark fruits, raisin, and plum. Very rich big mouthfeel. Excellent! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Poured from bottle to glass. Black hue with creamy brown hue. Aroma malt, coffee, chocolate, vanilla, peppercorn, ethanol. Mouthfeel is nice with a fill body and soft carbonation. Taste is sweet initially with astringent bitter following and ethanol finish. Overall this is a really nice stout.

12 oz. bottle, thanks to Dunn4040. Pours black, with a small, brown head. The aroma is strong coffee and bitter chocolate, caramel, faint cherries and tobacco, cinnamon, and peat. Very sweet and malty, with a light roasted bitterness. Very heavy body, sticky, syrupy, and a little chalky. This is a quite a nice stout. Thick, sticky-sweet, and very aromatic. This bottle is about a year old, and I can imagine a few more wouldnít hurt.

Pours black w/ absolutely no head or lacing. The aroma has some dark fruit notes & a touch of roastiness. The taste is rich & full upfront & finishes w/ just enough bite to let u know itís an imperial. Itís medium to full bodied & pretty fantastic on the palate. Beautiful man!

What a big beer tons of flavor. Aroma opens as it warms. Pour is dark black with a nice tan head. Lots of malts and bitter like dark chocolate. Coffee and chocolate cover cherry rule this beer.

12 oz bottle. Pours a jet black with lasting beige head. Aroma is massive: chocolate and coffee bitterness, roasted malts, a lactic complexity. Flavor is huge and palate coating: above plus a fruity sweetness over the roasted malt bitterness. Clean finish - outstanding.
