COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Hoppier, maltier and with more alcohol than a standard IPA, Hercules Double IPA definitely is not for the faint of heart. Hercules Double IPA is, however, an elixir fit for the gods. A brash but creamy wonder, Hercules pours a deep orange-coppery color, forming substantial lace in the glass. Hercules Double IPA delivers a huge amount of piney, floral, and citrusy hop aroma and flavor from start to finish. A hefty backbone of nutty, toffee-like malt character balances Hercules’ aggressive, punchy hop profile. 85 International Bittering Units (IBUs).

Served at World of Beer, Columbia, SC in a snifter. As a neophyte IPA fan, I was blown away. I like everything about this beer. Hard to judge aroma with all the cigar smoke blowing thru the place. Nice deep color and hearty lacing. Sweet hoppy palate that lingers and washes back in a mouth full of chewy toffee malt. Hops permeate my atmosphere. It’s the slowest I’ve ever drank a single beer. Will be back!

Pour deep copper/amber, with a small white head. Aroma is of pine, citrus, overly matured berries, toffee, caramel, floral and perhaps slight bready. Nice balanced and quite sweet, with a nice and semi-long hoppy burning aftertaste. Medium oily body, with a semi-flat carb.

Over all an ok Brew little on the malty for my taste. has a very suttle after taste of a wheat or rye. Good to drink with a good cigar won’t ruin the tasre of the smoke,

Bottled. Clear amber color, with a nice tan head at beginning and then, keeps a lace until the end. Aroma is HOPPY a lot!! nice.. Floral hops.. Flavor is hoppy and bitter. Very nice... the mouthfeel is long and bitter, like some hops in your mouth... Great one! ooops.. Great Divide.. hehehe..

date 11/10/11 Pours a burnt orange with a 1/2 finger. aroma is big pine, citrus and a bit of floral. Taste follows but has a boozier feel. Thanks for the bottle Jon.

Pours an orange-amber with small white head. The aroma is malty with hints of caramel, pine, citrus, and floral hops. The taste is malty, rich toffee with hints of earthy, floral hops and heavy hop bitterness. Very good beer but not quite hoppy enough to be considered a great 2X IPA.

355ml bottle. Pours a very dark amber with a tight, medium head. Aroma is caramel, sticky orange and herbal hops. Taste has lots of sticky malt and herbal hops. Touch of alcohol.
