COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Crack open Yeti Imperial Stout’s sophisticated sibling -- Oak Aged Yeti Imperial Stout. Although these beers come from the same clan, they have entirely different personalities. Aging on a blend of French and toasted oak chips infuses a subtle oak and vanilla character into Yeti’s already intense chocolate, roasted coffee malt flavor and hugely assertive hop profile. Who says you can’t tame a Yeti? 75 International Bittering Units (IBUs).

Pours a pitch black with a two finger khaki head which lingers and becomes very nice looking lacing. Aroma is of deeply roasted malts, coco, black coffee, licorice, dark fruits, burnt caramel, vanilla, molasses, some wood notes, and some light pine/citrus hops. Taste is similar to aroma but has more oak notes to it has a lot of citrus and pine hops on the back end. Has full body with super creamy, velvety, creamy, oily mouthfeel and a almost burnt, pretty bitter, semi dry finish. Overall, a excellent imp. stout that is definitely a step above regular Yeti.

Pour is black through and through with a light brown head. Lots of chocolate and toasted malt on the nose, hints of oak, some coffee, strong dark fruit notes, and some molasses. Lots more of the oak on the taste, wow, a bit of vanilla, some caramel, dark fruit, toasted malt, milk chocolate, and some dark bitter coffee. Insanely delicious, the oak perfectly compliments the delicious chocolate and coffee notes and rounds this beer out wonderfully.

Bottle from Market of Choice, Eugene. Pours VERY dark, moderate amount of tan head. Aroma yeast chocolate, french oak. Coffee, too. Nice. Body is rich, lively, hitting hard with oaky notes, coffee as well. Really opens up at end, blending sweetness, wood and hops. Yum!
