COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A bit of backwoods pleasure without the banjo. This strong stout is brewed with a hint of coffee and vanilla then aged in oak bourbon barrels. Our process ensures that strong bourbon undertones come through in the finish in every batch we brew. We recommend decanting at room temperature and best enjoyed in a brandy snifter.

What a great beer. Not as strong as I thought for an 11.2% beer. Excellent bourbon back note but the vanilla really shows and makes this a smooth sipping beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Got it in a bottle at house of beer. Pours kinda flat jet black. Aroma of bitter black, chocolate coffee, butter, plum, cherry. Thick and well carbonated for the style. Holy cow, so happy i found this. Light bourbon flavor with strong bitter dark chocolate much like aroma. Terrific. Super sweet. Little booze. Wish i had a fridge full.

Dark black pour with tan head... Amazing bourbon, vanilla, roasted malt aroma... Flavor is fairly mild, not terribly boozy or rich for that matter... Decent, little disappointed ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A big Thank You to Bytemesis! Simply amazing. 12oz bottle pours pitch black with a two finger head and motor oil lacing. Aromas of coffee, rich chocolate, leather, caramel, herbs, and vanilla. Slight alcohol notes but not overpowering. Delicious!

Big thinks to thoor84 for this treat! Pitch black, almost no head. Huge whiff of vanilla, sweets, slight bourbon. Very smooth palate, sweet, with vanilla dominating, subtle booze and bourbon. Very good!

This is quite possibly the best all around desert stout out there. Also pairs well with a cigar and is well worth the search to find

This 2014 batch was exceptionally smooth fresh offering the obvious components of bourbon barrel, chocolatey imperial stout, and coffee, compared to a three month aged version and a 2011 version, I canít see any reason to age this, a touch more complexity was created after three years along with a slightly less enjoyable texture, Iíll keep future vintages in the fridge and drink them within the year

3/4" medium khaki frothy to somewhat smooth head settling to a solid ring with a frothy island and a short peninsula and dot of lace over a black body with miniscule dark honey highlights

Spirit forward chocolatey barrel with accents of coffee, cherry, pie crust, date, plumb, and raisin with a juicy spirit influence flowing back in to take control of the finish on a well carbonated coating medium plus body, this one was significantly more silky and integrated with a heavier weight on release week

An enjoyable chocolate syrup drenched oak and spirit laced residual trails off to traces of vanilla and dark fruit

2011 offers amplified dark fruit components, blueberries and raisins glowing against barrel, subtle spirit, and dark chocolate, cola finish

12oz bottles into Orrefors Difference Porter snifter

Would prefer just a tad more coffee taste. Great balance of bourbon and all other flavors. Delicious aroma that tempts you to taste.

Draft at railroad. Pours pitch black with minimal head. The aroma has tons of chocolate, vanilla, oak. The taste has plenty of barrel, chocolate coffee, huge palate.
