Dusty rose-amber with light (wood-aged), fine-bubbled, off-white head / Bright but complex nose of cherry, apple, wood, and brett / Light to medium body, tart and acidic, moderate wood astringency, dry with just a hint of sweetness, excellent balance and lightly bitter finish / Flavors of sour cherries, rotting apples, oak, hay, horse blanket, and a delightful hint of manure / A great, beautifully balanced, sour.

Russian River Supplication has a medium, white head, a murky, amber appearance, some noticed suspended yeast chunks, and low-level lacing left on the glass. The aroma is of sourness, up front, but there’s a background maltiness, brown bread crust, fruitiness of a type, and the flavor is of tart cherry skins, semi-sweet malt, sour and sweet fruit, and essentially no bitterness. Even a nutty, woody, cherry seed. Also, barrel-aged wood. Mouthfeel is medium, and Russian River Supplication finishes semi-dry and exquisite. RJT

Rating #1135 - 24.06.2014 - My welcome to the industry present from @foxjunk - First RR brew. Pours a deep reddish brown with a bubbly head that disapparates rather quickly. Aroma is wild cherries, pinot aromatics - rich, fruity texture. Palate is well balanced - lots of tart cherry, sweetness from the barrel component - lovely sour.

pours a hazy golden reddish sort of brown (pretty much just brown, i guess), with a small ring of head around the glass, but with a popping effervescence. smell of peppery cherries and funky yeast and dark wood. a bit of acidic citrus (lemon, orange) in the back. sour cherry flavor, more wood, more lemon than orange, acidic, with a woody yeasty funk at the end. also a late hint or dry red wine. bubbly, sticky mouthfeel, similar to ginger ale. smooth, dryish, woody finish. peppery, again. dry, phenolic, moderately sour, lots of wood and dark cherries. quite good. sort of resembles a oude bruin, but lacto rather than aceto, and woodier and with vinous and brett (brux?) notes.
