Definitely worthy of rating number 200. 2010 bottle. Pours a cherry amber with very thin head which settles to the rim quickly. Aroma is incredible - dark cherries, oak, vanilla, and plenty of funk. Taste is perfection for a sour ale - sour cherry but not overly mouth puckering and this is balanced nicely by the oak and the hint of pinot noir, funk there also. Amazing sour as usual from RR. Wish could have brought back more.

Bottle - Pours a murky brown. The nose is sour, vinegar, and cherries. The taste is tart and cherries up front and tails off at the end. Pretty good!!!

Bottle from Lectvay, thanks again! Copper pour with a small white head. Slightly acidic aromas of cherries and some wine notes. Oak and funk are also there. Flavor is an awesome combination of them all. The wine and cherry qualities compliment the oak and tannins so well. Perfect level of sourness. Just a very impressive beer. It’s reputation is well-deserved.

Shared 12.68 oz./375 ml. bottle, poured to snifters displaying a hazed, amber/copper hue, with soft white head foam, and spots & strands of lacing. The nose was tart cherry, not necessarily wild, but under control, yeasty funk, woodiness, light tannic astringency, and mild vinous hints. The taste continued with a nicely balanced play on sweet & tart, and a pleasantly dry & fruity finish. Very nice! Thanks for donating to the cause, Bob S..

P: Dark amber/red and a one finger head that goes away in a flash. S: Dark cherries, oak, earthy, some orange peel, grapes and wine. T: Very nice oak, cherries, grapes, with light yogurt tartness in the end. M: Light and puckery. O: My first supplication in a long time, and did not disappoint.

Bottle. Hazy apple juice like appearance with a thin off white head. Aroma is vinous with tart cherry and musty funk. Taste follows pretty close. Excellent balance. Medium thick mouthfeel. Absolutely outstanding.

This amber gold beer has an aroma of cherries and wine. It has a subtle sweetness but hits you really strongly sour. Almost champagne like. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A very interesting beer. Pours a clear orange. Smells great, lots of wine, some green apples. Taste is extremely tart, but complex and tasty. Tastes like sweet tarts. Had in the bottle.

Wow, this beer lived up to the hype. Great tart aroma and the fruitiness is fantastic - great cherry and berry taste. Doesn’t look like anything, but what sour does? So well balanced and full bodied, really remarkable.
