COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Framboise Boon is a traditional Belgian Lambic fruit-beer. It is brewed according to the traditional Lambic style of spontaneous fermentation. Only fresh raspberries (25%) and wildcherries (5%)are used for this Lambic beer. Framboise Boon is the missing link between beer and wine and is served chilled in flute glasses. NO artificial sweeteners, flavourings, preservatives or colouring agents. Brewed in Lembeek, the village that gave Lambic its name.

UPDATED: NOV 27, 2011 My first fruit lambic!! Bottle, 37.5 cl. Deep red color, with a small pink head. The immediate aroma is fresh raspberries wrapped in sweet caramel-ish aromas. Sweet lambic jesus this smells good! In my mouth the body is medium to full, Iíd say. Flavor is very much like the aroma, with wonderful fresh raspberries with delightful notes of caramel, slightly sour, but with sweet edges. Quickly, as I swallow, the expected sourness really comes through, refreshing and very very very pleasant! The sourness continues into the finish, leaving my mouth full of raspberry flavors, tartness and sour goodness! Wow. There are other flavors here besides the raspberry, but Iím not sure what they are, since Iím relatively new to the world of sour ales, but the raspberry flavors definitely dominate. The stuff in the background makes me think of a barnyard and such, but itís very faint. Also, hints of lemon.

Overall: I think this is just spectacular! And itís probably not even the best fruit/raspberry lambic out there! Wow!

It had close to no head, though I poured it in a large goblet so that may have had an effect. The aroma and taste were both mild which is surprising given the ratings here strong raspberry aroma and sourness, I donít see it. Itís very cleansing and you could drink quite a lot on a hot day.

5.5% 750. Better than the kriek, me thinks. A little more complex than I remember the cherry being. Very fruity up front, but thereís enough of a hint of cheese and tart to keep things interesting. I love me some framboise. It had been a while..."

Bottle. Pours clear red with a red head. Aroma of rasberries and some funky, sour notes. Taste is similar to aroma, but more dry. Beer is medium bodied, quite dry. Good lambic style beer.

UPDATED: SEP 1, 2014 Nice bottle with a cork on it. Clear red colour. Not just sweet but rather balanced. Lovely fruit aroma. Not disappointing at all. Very nice one.

Een van de slechtste frambozenbieren dat ik ooit geprobeerd heb, echt niets voor mij

TPSA. Pours a slightly brown-tinged red with a rose-colored, shallow head. Smells like -- well -- raspberries. REAL raspberries, none of this raspberry candy crap. Tastes like raspberries, again, the real kind, with great tartness and a slightly bitter cherry-pit overtone. The bitterness sticks around through the finish, cutting through the slight sweetness and keeping the beer from being out of balance. Elegant and excellent.

More expressive on the nose than the palate... and what a nose: sweetness abounds with raspberries dominating. Much softer on the palate, but different again if swished through teeth. Really enjoyable beer!

Bottle. Pours a clear dark red with a small white head. Aromas of raspberry, sugar, earth. Taste is very smooth raspberry tartness, slight grass.
