Framboise Boon is a traditional Belgian Lambic fruit-beer. It is brewed according to the traditional Lambic style of spontaneous fermentation. Only fresh raspberries (25%) and wildcherries (5%)are used for this Lambic beer. Framboise Boon is the missing link between beer and wine and is served chilled in flute glasses. NO artificial sweeteners, flavourings, preservatives or colouring agents. Brewed in Lembeek, the village that gave Lambic its name.

UPDATED: NOV 27, 2011 My first fruit lambic!! Bottle, 37.5 cl. Deep red color, with a small pink head. The immediate aroma is fresh raspberries wrapped in sweet caramel-ish aromas. Sweet lambic jesus this smells good! In my mouth the body is medium to full, Iíd say. Flavor is very much like the aroma, with wonderful fresh raspberries with delightful notes of caramel, slightly sour, but with sweet edges. Quickly, as I swallow, the expected sourness really comes through, refreshing and very very very pleasant! The sourness continues into the finish, leaving my mouth full of raspberry flavors, tartness and sour goodness! Wow. There are other flavors here besides the raspberry, but Iím not sure what they are, since Iím relatively new to the world of sour ales, but the raspberry flavors definitely dominate. The stuff in the background makes me think of a barnyard and such, but itís very faint. Also, hints of lemon.

Overall: I think this is just spectacular! And itís probably not even the best fruit/raspberry lambic out there! Wow!

Bottle, vintage 2013. Pours red, with a big pink creamy head, receding to finger thickness. Aroma is tart berries, with raspberries, cherries and blackcurrants, as well as some tannins and earthy notes of brett. Full body, with average carbonation. Flavour is tart raspberries, blackcurrants and wooden notes, as well as some light funky bretty notes. A bit too light on the acidity, but nice fruity tartness and very good drinkability.

250ml bottle. pours a hazy...raspberry colour with dark pinkish light purple. aroma is full of berries. lovely fresh raspberry, strawberries (yeah i know there are none in it), cherries and tart apples. really nice sweet and sour fruit in the taste all at the same time. pretty sour and dry at first but it does finish a little sweeter. easy drinking.

Bottle at home. Hazy dark red with dark pink head. Dough, twigs, cherry, raspberry, cherry pits, dry musty cellar, hay. But weird at first but the raspberries and other red fruits cut through very nicely but theyíre almost overwhelmed by the hay-like notes. Light sweet with medium sourness going into cobweb finish... Medium bodied. I quite like it, itís very different from other raspberry lambics, a bit less fruity and more hay/twigs but not bad at all.

Awesomeness....like a raspberry fruit champagne with barnwood notes. May be too carbonated for style but the fact it was fruity and dry made it great. Syrupy carbonation is lke cherry cola, this is opposite with brite cherry raspberry notes and flavors with a nice malt oak wheat backbone! Perfect.

Draught at Fermentoren, Copenhagen, 14.1.2015. Reddish. Bread and strawberry marmalade aroma with a little old milk. Sweet, then sour, then fruit yogurt taste. Full body, berry ice-cream finish. Good.

Quickly disappearing pink head, pleasant and natural raspberry aroma. The taste is disappointing - extremely sour, without hints of anything else. Very nice aroma, but that alone cannot compensate for the taste.

Weak pink head, dark opaque pink. Strong and nice raspberry aroma - like jam. Taste disappoints - watery and a bit sour with some notes of raspberry. Finishes watery and a bit dry.
