Supple, malty and mellow. Its harmonious flavour is the great strength of our dark wheat beer.

Presentation: It was poured from a brown 1 pint 0.9oz bottle into a Weizen Glass. The abv is listed on the label at 5.3% and there is no freshness date. Appearance: It has a deep hazy orange amber body with visible carbonation. A quick pour fills the glass with foam. After a minute to settle I very slowly finished pouring and ended up with a nice three finger head. The light beige head hangs on well and makes lots of cool lace patterns on the glass. Smell: Big German yeast notes rush up to fill my nose. The aroma is all about the classic banana notes with some mild clove and bready sweet malt. Taste: The best way to describe this beer is that is like banana bread with nuts and chocolate chips. The palate is a firm medium body with nice active carbonation. Notes: Outstanding!!! This beer is a work of wheat beer art.

Pours a cloudy brown with an off white head. Aromas of malt and dried fruit. Taste the same with some banana and fig flavors. A little smoke at the finish. Very smooth and dry finish. Light to medium mouth feel with a thin film on top and light lacing.

Light brown with amber tinge, large head that shrinks fairly rapidly. Aroma is banana, clove, pastry. Taste is banana, bubblegum, belgian yeast, caramel, gingerbread. Luxurious palate much like the hefeweisen, with a similar flavour profile. Very sweet and desserty. I’ll take the hefeweisen over this on most days, but there’s not a lot of distance separating the two.

UPDATED: SEP 5, 2016 Cloudy deep amber with a huge offwhite head. Nose of caramel, baguette and crust, wheat, banana, some fruity and zesty notes, hints of spice, candy, smoke, yeast. Light to medium sweetness and tartness, hints of bitterness on finish. Smooth creamy and oily texture, medium body, high carbonation, extremely drinkable. Nice complexity and too damn drinkable!
