Into a pint glass. Clear, medium straw color with two fingers of foamy head. Head held through the entire pint. Quite aromatic in the pour. Nice smelling bouquet of citrus and spruce. Big bitterness upfront, mellow sweetness in the middle, pine bitter finish and aftertaste. Silky crisp texture, low carbonation. Cannot go wrong with this one. It’s the benchmark of its style and of craft beer in general.

Out of bottle at grad party. Wish I had glass. Hoppy grainy aroma. Lightly hoppy taste. Medium bitter. Relativley smooth finish. Over all good tasting ale. Will have to try again.

Hazy yellow color, medium sized white head. Hops are noticeable, but dominant scent is armpit. Notes of malt and citrus. Unpleasant and disappointing. Taste is a little bit better, but still boring. More sweet than bitter. Expected more.

Last had this about 20 years ago and thankfully pretty much as I remembered it. Deep golden hue. Good beading. Rocky head. Mute nose. Deep husky raw hop flavour. Great mouthfeel and excellent. Potent too. One of the very most iconic American beers ever made and Anchor continues to honour and brew with this beer as it always was and with love and respect.

Slightly hazy golden color, average sized white head. Aroma of biscuit, some fruitiness, malt, caramel and sweat. Taste is similar, with citrus fruits and malts dominating. Medium body, soft carbonation. Not impressed.

Light pleasant bitter dry hops rest on your tongue. Crisp with a fair amount of bite. Light body with oily hop finish. This aint a slouchy pale ale. A great lounge and relax kinda beer.

Bottle; pours a light, slightly hazy gold with a white head; aroma is malty with some fruit and caramel notes; taste is bittersweet with malt, caramel, and some hints of fruits; finish is bitter; nice APA

Bottle bought at Geers. Citrus-sour, almost lemonade-like, yeasty, different to say the least.

Amber with a white lasting head and lacing all the way down. Aroma of citrus, honney and forrest. Chrispy and dry with a taste of malt, grain and fruit. Faint bitter aftertaste.

A good pale ale. Sufficient hops, fruity notes, light palate, pretty smooth with a modest finish. Classic label.

Cor âmbar, brilhante. Espuma de boa formação e baixa persistência. No aroma herbal, damasco e frutas amarelas em compota. No paladar cítrico, lúpulo, frutado e malte. Corpo leve. Retrogosto amargo. Alta drinkability!!!
