4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Into a pint glass. Clear, medium straw color with two fingers of foamy head. Head held through the entire pint. Quite aromatic in the pour.
Nice smelling bouquet of citrus and spruce.
Big bitterness upfront, mellow sweetness in the middle, pine bitter finish and aftertaste.
Silky crisp texture, low carbonation.
Cannot go wrong with this one. Itís the benchmark of its style and of craft beer in general.

Clear golden colour. Thick white head. Aroma is floral, some citrus maybe grape, definitely on the low side, probably from the long shipping to EU. Taste is very refreshing, citrusy, low body. Aftertaste has some malt notes and a medium long bitterness coming through at the end.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours clear golden colour, with tiny, stable white creamy head. Visually high carbonation.
Aroma without note of an alcohol, with fruity esters of lemon and grapefruits.
Similar is flavor. Malt sweetness is medium, with notes of wheat, bread, and is perfectly balanced with hop bitterness (esters of grapefruit, lemon). Body is smoothy-soft, carbonation is medium.
Very proper pale ale.

Bottle @home. Iíve had this one several times before. Pours golden/orange medium body, small but lasting off-white head. Rich hops aromas, orange, tangerine, citrus, sour fruit peels. Hints of malt, but hops prevail. Earthy aromas, a strong presence of citrusy sourness, bitter and dry finish, sour aftertaste. Medium, lively carbonation. Not my favorite one from Anchor, still an overall good one. Balanced and refreshing.
