4.5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Dark as night. Tan head which disappears quickly. Oily, slick, tobacco sweetness in the aroma, coffee, chocolate and roasty goodness in the taste. I absolutely LOVED this.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
9%ABV. Imperial Stout.
Poured out oily black. 40ºSRM.
Nose has coffee, dark fruits and black honey. There is a good amount of smoke from the darkly roasted malts. There is a good amount of wheaty umami in the nose like good soy. There is a nice medicinal aroma reminiscent of lo Han go or licorice.
Mouthfeel is syrupy. Palate has deep roasted malts with flavors of burnt toast, burnt barley. Middle of the palate is rounded and almost sour where the dark fruit palate comes in most strongly. Alcoholic warmth in the back of the throat in the finish.
Finish is a lingering and syrupy or like honey.
Goes on Favorites List!

4.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 20/20
Appearance: Oily black colour, tiny layer of cappuccino coloured head. Some yeast residue.
Aroma: complex and very interesting, spicy, dark malts, really roasty with notes of espresso, maybe some lactose, berry notes.
Flavour: oily thick, hoppy herbal mouthfeel, very intense flavour, quite boozy, malty, intense roast and espresso flavour, treacle and sweet, spicy and very hoppy, medium bitterness, grassy and earthy hops flavours, hints of berries, long finish which is a combination of grassy hops and intense espresso. Brilliant impy, one of the best I’ve had.

4.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Pours a black viscous syrup, looks very heavy with a medium tan head. Aroma is of leather, dried fruit, and dark chocolate. Tastes of leather, big smoke, dark chocolate, strong dark coffee, and cinnamon. Has a smooth creamy body with low carbonation. Don’t taste too much alcohol, but has a great warming effect.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
butelka 0,5l. Obfita, brązowa, grubo-pęcherzykowa piana po nalaniu do szkła. Aromat początkowo silnie czekoladowy, kawowy. Czuć też wyraźny popiół. Po ogrzaniu wyraźny alkohol. Piwo czarne jak smoła, niskonasycone. W smaku brak jakiejkolwiek słodyczy, smakuje jak klasyczny stout. Alkohol przyjemnie rozgrzewa. 0,5l trochę nudne.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Aroma of heavy malt, coffee and chalk. Pours a dense dark almost black brown. Thick pinpoint brown head. Tastes of sweet pumpernickel toast with a sour finish and a little alcohol bite. Oily mouthfeel with low carbonation. Rich and round. Very nice.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Dark brown/black stout with medium size beige head. It has a typical aroma of dark chocolate, dried plums and orange peel. The aroma is somehow medium intensive with a delicate alcohol bite. Medium thick and creamy with delicate carbonation. Again not an intensive stout. Medium sweetness, medium roasted bitterness and delicate booze. Very easy to drink and I imagine this on tap being served too cold it couldn’t be called an Imperial Stout anymore. Overall not bad at all but not at all among the best in this elitist style.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
0,5 L bottle, served in snifter glass. Poured pitch black like motor oil with a creamy tan two finger head. Low on carbonation. Delicious aromas of dark roasted espresso beans, chocolate, caramel, dark fruits. Taste: Dark chocolate, vanilla, caramelized creme brulee, dark fruits, toasted bread, raisins, espresso coffee, leather, licorice, dates, butterscotch, currants, soy sauce, roasted nuts. Awesome imperial stout! It’s got a full body, with a thick, sticky and gloopy mouthfeel and a long roasted, bittersweet finish. Fantastic!
