Draught at Pikkulintu (Helsinki). Really black, nutty brown, dense and long lasting head. Sweet chocolate, coffee and liqorice, quite intense aroma. I feel a pleasant dry hopping component but not sure it’s the case. Pronunced sweetness with toasty notes in the flavor, with a hidden alcohol which comes at the end warming the mouth. Rich and full body.

Draught at Plevna in Tampere, Feb 2012. Dark brown, almost black with brown head. Smoke and chocolate are present in the aroma with a hint of caramel or cola. Goes down smoothly, almost too easy and would probably do well from racking. Cocoa and a light bitterness lingers.

Aroma is rather hoppy with somewhat ripe fruits. Also hints of roasted malt and vanilla can be observed behind the hop wall. Flavour is hoppy with fruits and vanilla. Dry finish with roasted malt, coffee and some dark chocolate. Also Plevna house flavour is present. Becomes somewhat sticky towards the end of the glass due to the massive hop and malt amount. Rather hoppy for an Imperial stout, almost like a Black IPA. The best finnish beer I’ve had!

Black colour with small head. Aroma is roasted malts, sweet hops, hint of coffee. Twisted aroma, nice! Flavor is roasted malts with some coffee, dark fruits, hops... Bitterness is nice.. Roasted and bitter aftertaste. Great job, Plevna!

(Draught) Pours black. The aroma is medium to heavily hoppy and medium roasted with notes of green fruity hops, citrus/grapefruit, tar, liquorice and coffee. The flavour is medium to heavily hoppy and roasted with tones of grapefruit, chocolate, coffee, ink and tar. The mouthfeel is oily and quite round. Medium to full bodied.

Pours pitch black with a low tan head. Aroma is pretty light. Roasted malts and some hops. Strong and well balanced flavor is roasted malts, coffee and some hops. Excellent.

Almost black liquid with slightly brown head. Aroma has lost of maltiness and huge amount of piney hoppiness. It also has coffee and chocolate. It tastes like the attack of roasted malt, coffee and chocolate. After that there’s still huge amount of that bitter piney taste and slight amount of citrus. Very full palate, slow beer. Siperia is one of the best beers from Finland, very nice even on style.

Draught. Black colour with a medium-sized light brown head. Roasted aroma with coffee and hops. Burnd and roasted malt flavour with some coffee, dark fruits and good amount of bitterness. Roasted and bitter aftertaste.

Tap, poured dark brown, hoppy aroma over the malts, dry and bitter finish with coffee lingering. Unique bitterness.

Draft at Pikkulintu, awesome stout. Perhaps the most bitter I’ve ever had. Fresh green sticky piney hops, roasted mats, touch of burnt coffee. Great flavor. Lost my original wonderfully written review on my blackberry so this is what you get. Big IBU’s delicious

Pours pitch black colour with small beige head. Aroma of dark roasted malts, coffee, caramel, light licorice,ripe fruits and tobacco. Flavour of dark malts, ripe fruits, yeast, ash, oaky tar and licorice.
