4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Aroma: Floral, yeast, bread, citrus, lemon peel, notes of candy sugar and coriander-like spice.
Flavor: Yeast, bread, caramel, followed by lemon, more bread and dried flowers (chamomile) on the mid-palate. These flavors carry on into the finish and the yeasty quality reappears.
Palate: Soft and smooth; the carbonation seems, paradoxically, to explode on the tongue, adding a unique dimension the palate.
Comment: Great complexity. Of the few 1000 or so beers I’ve tried, this is my new favorite. Very few can top this. Tasted on 2 different days with consistent notes. When allowed to warm a bit, pear-like fruit comes through on the mid-palate.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a golden color, fairly clear, topped with lots of white frothy head that slowly settles down. Malty aroma, wheaty and fruity notes. Mildly yeasty. Taste sweet and malty, yeasty with some fruity notes. Mild bitterness. Not a fan of this style, so a bit biased review, but not bad.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Poured from a 750ml corked bottle given to me by a coworker into a Duvel tulip. Bottle popped with a nice satisfying burst and an immediate aroma of earthy hops.
Poured a bright pale gold with a thick, fine bubbled, 2 inch, pure white head. Head dissipated into a thin foam within a couple of minutes. Nice lacing on the glass. Beer was slightly cloudy in the glass with a strong, never ending stream of bubbles eminating from the bottom, center of the glass. Very nice. As soon as the bottle was opened, there was a strong, earthy hop aroma. After pouring into the glass this was amplified even more. Although a very appealing aroma, it is rather one dimensional. I don’t detect much of anything else. No malt, and only the slightest of Belgian funk. Nice, but not as complex as I was hoping for. Taste follows the aroma. Dominated with hop bitterness, but some malt sweetness, some fruitiness and a touch of funk comes through. At 8.4%, the alcohol is hidden very well. This is a very drinkable beer. I tend to think of this as a Belgian IPA. Hops forward with some character to back it up. Mouthfeel is solid. Rich and full with lots of prickly carbonation felt on the center and back of the tongue. Very nice. To me, this is a highly drinkable Belgian tripel. Usually, I have a difficult time with this style, but this beer - I could have a couple with no problem. The alcohol is hidden well and the flavors balance nicely with nothing overpowering.
Overall, a very good beer. I will have to look for this one again.

33cl pour from chilled bottle into stemmed beer tulip at Verde 1080 in Vienna. Pours golden and hazy with a big fizzy head with pretty good retention. Nose is sweet--candy sugar, a bit of biscuit, a nice light malty scent. Body is medium, fizzy. Not bad. Taste is great. Sweet, but not overwhelmingly. Delicious breadiness, with a hint of citrus and a whisper of bitterness on the end. Layers of maltiness and breadiness. Delicious. Better as it warms.

Clara e levemente turva. Aroma agradável, frutado. não é muito doce, balanceia bem com o amargor do lupulo. Final quente, mas não tanta sensação de álcool

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
330ml bottle. Clear golden colour with average to huge, frothy, collapsing, crystalline white head. Cautious banana and vanilla aroma, hints of banana peel, unripe banana, a touch of apple purée, a strange bitter note of liquorice and bamboo. Taste is moderately sweet, wheaty, slightly alcoholic, hints of banana, a touch of vanilla. Nothing I’d be addicted to.

Une des meilleures bière belge qui vous est donné de pouvoir goûter. Très mousseuse. Pointe d’acidité (citron) et épicée. Un vrai régal pour le palais.

0.33 l bottle from Alko. Reminds me Schneider’s hefeweizens - taste and looks. Also Finnish sahti looks and tastes similar. This is neither. The yeast gives more complex taste and there is more malts. Despite the high amount of alcohol this is very easy to drink.
