4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Aroma: Floral, yeast, bread, citrus, lemon peel, notes of candy sugar and coriander-like spice.
Flavor: Yeast, bread, caramel, followed by lemon, more bread and dried flowers (chamomile) on the mid-palate. These flavors carry on into the finish and the yeasty quality reappears.
Palate: Soft and smooth; the carbonation seems, paradoxically, to explode on the tongue, adding a unique dimension the palate.
Comment: Great complexity. Of the few 1000 or so beers I’ve tried, this is my new favorite. Very few can top this. Tasted on 2 different days with consistent notes. When allowed to warm a bit, pear-like fruit comes through on the mid-palate.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours a golden, cloudy with fragments of yeast in the glass. A superb creamy, foamy head that is persistant and leaves an attractive lace like effect at the top of the glass. An aroma of hops and yeast. Smooth bitter taste with very discrete alcohol. Altogether an excellent brew. Cheers to the Carmelites!

Mooie goudkleur, weinif wit schuim. Ruikt heerlijk, beetje naar boter. Smaakt fantastisch, beetje bitter. Wel wat veel koolzuur.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
This is very nice indeed, I see why it is so highly rated. 750 ml. bottle poured into a large wine glass. Beautiful pour of deep gold with a copious white head that leaves artistic lacing. Aroma is fruity and spicy, with lemon, banana, and orange blossoms standing out along with hay and bread aromas. The taste really hits you with the tart citrus, mostly lemon, and complex Belgian yeast bouquet. Dry and somewhat sour, yet well balanced. Very refreshing, rich, and complex, with the right amount of alcohol presence. Medium body, creamy texture, lively carbonation, and slightly sour and bittersweet finish. Has a nice grain presence in the nose and mouthfeel to balance the fruitiness and the sour. Probably the best Belgian tripel I’ve had so far.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Poured from the bottle. Huge head. Cloudy golden yellow. Smells of yeast, orange peel, peach. Taste is wheat, yeast and bubbles up front. Transition to creamy, bready, lemon finish. Finish is fairly crisp with not too much lingering finish. Nice beer

Aroma: beautiful belgian yeast, peach, a bit honey, Appearance a bit hazy, yellow with quickly disappearing head. Taste: some banana, peach, a bit of alcohol. Very drinkable and well ballanced. A bit too much carbonation.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Light colour and bubbly white head. Poured in a trappistes rochefort glass. Quite fresh, almost citrus taste that hides well the alcohol. Acid palate. Quite bubbly in the mouth too.

Slightly hazy yellow in glass. Nose is sweet with apple and pear. Slightly bitter in taste, with more of that apple peel and pear, as well as some breadiness. Picked up very slight clove. Dry finish. Very enjoyable and a great tripel.

This beer is one of my favorite beers of all time. It is definitely the best triple on the market. The taste, aroma, and fluffy white head are fantastic and fit the style perfectly . One of my all time go to session beers
