4.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
I’m not sure about the other Mikkeller beers, but this one is not overrated in the least bit! A really fantastic bier, beautiful and rich in every aspect. Pours into goblet a dark motor oil black with a finger sized brown head. Aroma is instantly coffee, heavily roasted malts, burnt toast and dirt. Down the hatch! Taste grabs a hold me immediately. It actually made my brain stop thinking for almost 10 seconds. I was just caught in the moment, in the beautiful full, chewy chocolate coffee mouthfeel. The flavour was so incredibly well balanced, it was almost sinful. It wasn’t big and boozy and roasted, it was very subtle, smooth and delicate. An absolute treat. Thanks Malt House for bringing this gem in!

Dark black pour with small persistent brown head. Not much aroma. Flavor is bitter but little else. I’m a bit underwhelmed for the hype this gets.

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 13/20
Aroma: sweetness, coffee and stout mixed together; much better than average stout; Appearance: pitch black with creamy tan head that dissipates very slowly; Taste: reverts back to a traditional stout (not as nice as aroma) but still a much more complex flavor that builds on the tongue; smooth, pleasant coffee flavor; Palate: heavy body with creamy, sweet finish; Overall: while still not my favorite style, definitely the best stout I’ve ever had.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Aspetto bello, marrone molto. Cremosa e poco frizzante. Davvero grande Stout.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tap at Clubhouse BFD. Pours pitch black. Small tan head. Aroma is roasted malt, very dark chocolate, bit of oatmeal. . Flavor is very nice dark chocolate, very roasted. Robust, and fairly thick for oatmeal. The mouthfeel makes this. Also great coffee bitterness.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Ca pe chon kaffe i en øl. Nu ryger havregrøden nok ud! Mørk og smagsfuld, meget fyldig og næsten ikke til at drikke en hel øl.

Beer geek breakfast is a nice oatmeal stout from Mikeller. I recommend the dragons milk from new holland though if it is available.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
In bottiglia.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle at home with my wife. Pour is deep black with a small brown head and good lacing. Big cocoa, toffee, some tobacco, earthy hips, caramel, coffee, and raisins in the aroma. Taste is tobacco, leather, espresso, toasted malt, black malt, and cookies with a lingering coffee aftertaste. Medium body with medium carbonation. Solid.

3.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle at home. Pours coffee black with thin head. Aroma was somewhat plain with dark malt notes, some coffee and faint dark chocolate. Medium body with some back bone, not too heavy. Taste is roasty coffee, oatmeal, semi bitter dark chocolate and maybe a touch of ash on a lingering finish. Solid breakfast stout although pretty basic (but done well) and pricey. I prefer Cocoa Shake or the Flat White.
