COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle conditioned.
Saison Dupont is a classic Belgian farmhouse ale. This is a beautifully balanced, complex beer that has a refreshing fruitiness and long, dry finish. It is bottled unfiltered so it may be cloudy or have a slight sediment but this is normal and perfectly natural.

A truly great classic. The nose is full of subtle spice and a touch of barn. Deep rich golden with a tight white froth. Sweet with a balance of pepper, ginger, and citrus with just enough floral bitterness for balance. Prickling bubble with a very vinous character in a medium body with a smooth sweet finish. Delightfully with any food especially Italian as the spices complement the herbal character.

Head is small, whiteband frothy and diminishes almost completely. Body is hazy yellow. Aroma contains hay, cookie, lime, orange, earth, spruce, flowers, forest fruits, vanilla, grape. Flavor is light acidic, then light acidic and light bitter, followed by sweet and light acidic and finishing in dry bitter. Body is medium with creamy texture and soft carbonation. Refreshing and more complex than expected. A nice surprise and one of the better saisons I tasted.

Saison Dupont 750ml bottle served in a Tripel Karmeliet tulip A: Orange cloudy color. Huge white and foamy persistent finger white head. Really impressive. Reminds Duvel. Long retention and many lacings. Many remains in the bottom of the bottle S: Impressive smell. Perfect. Very yeasty and citrus hops too. Spicy. Cereal and bready as well. Again reminded me Duvel T: Excellent. Spicy. Belgian yeasts are a must here. The citrus grassy hop sting is just amazing... One of the best beers I’ve ever had M: Medium body. High carbonation. High drinkability O: Just perfect Farmhouse. Perfect beer [ BA Review @ 5/22/2011 ]

0.33 bottle. Gold color with some sort of suspension and a big, white head. Sweet, spicy, typically Belgian aroma including citruses and carnations. Sweet taste, rather typical for Belgian ales with a lot of pale malts and spices. Medium body, slick texture, and almost no carbonation. Finish is short and a tad bitterer. Overall a very good beer, although I would not expect anything less.

Super refreshing. One of the most indicative of the style. A bit of a barnyard scent. Complex herbal taste.

@ Havregatan. Fruity and yeasty with spicy notes, some citrusy notes as well, medium body with an oily texture. The finish is dry, fruity and yeasty. A really nice and refreshing saison.

"lemon, grass, barnyard. rinse lather repeat. aroma and flavor. this is THE classic for the dtyle. i like it a lot...don’t quite love it, but especially enjoy it’s fairly light bodied complexity during the summer."
