Saison Dupont is a classic Belgian farmhouse ale. This is a beautifully balanced, complex beer that has a refreshing fruitiness and long, dry finish. It is bottled unfiltered so it may be cloudy or have a slight sediment but this is normal and perfectly natural.

Just started to get into Saisons and have found them to be extremely refreshing. This is one of the best. A nice cloudy golden pour with a huge white head. Nice lacing on my glass. Great aroma of bread, honey, citrus, and black pepper. A wonderful refreshing brew with spices and tartness. Perfect combination.

Wow, an almost perfect saison, light, funky, citrusy. Light and a little floral on the palate, with some bready and grassy notes on the finish. A little earthy and I like that. Great beer.

Poured from 11.2 ounce bottle, giving a two inch foamy cream colored head. Bread and fruity aroma. Light orange color. Bread, floral, banana, fruity, offset with bitter on the back tongue and throat. Unfiltered, sediment falls to the bottom of glass. Very refreshing experience on a sunny spring day.

Corked bottle. Hazy gold color. Fresh but mild aroma of wheat, lemon, citrus, grass, hop and yeast. Character is balanced and carbonated. Soda-like. Really tasty. A good saison.

2013 vintage 750 mL bottle poured into a snifter. The aroma is light and floral, very spring like. Notes of banana, peach, lemon, spice, and some bread. It pours a somewhat hazy, dull yellow color topped by a dense, creamy, and frothy, but active and unstable, eggshell white head. A generous fluffy layer remain and leaves a medium light amount of dirty lace. The taste is a medium high sweet complimented by a medium, mellow bitter. A lot of fuzzy carbonation is noticed on the mouth first, putting the texture on the thin side of creamy. It’s a medium bodied, dry, crisp beer with a hoppy, resin, zesty finish - refreshing and clean. The aftertaste is peppery with dry orange peels.

Saison dupont. Not the one pictured here but in a capped 33cl bottle from Belgian beer box. Pours hazy golden yellow with lasting head. Nice aroma. Refreshing taste. Nice bitter dry finish. A nice beer but not amazing in my opinion. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Grosses bulles à faible tenue. Bullage très fin mais bien présent. Belle couleur or cuivrée, légèrement trouble.

750 ml cork bottle with loud pop bought at Belgian Beer International in Tsuen Wan.

Looks: Cloudy hazy golden honey yellow colour with lots of dirt-like yeast sediments; Explosive two finger head and lasting crumpety white foam. Excellent sticky lacing with very fizzy carbonation.

Aroma: Very fragrant and sweet malt, with fresh grapefruit, pineapple, bubblegum, vanilla, honey, floral, strong Bel yeast, bread, nice herbs and light earth.

Taste: Mid-to-light, refreshing sweet taste of malt, with strong bubblegum, fruity esters, caramel, strong light phenolic, Bel yeast, earth, herbs, light spice, lime, light bitter hops and quite sharp grass.

Body: Medium. Very creamy and slick palate.

Mouth Feel: Body with right-on thickness, not too rich or not to light. Very creamy. Taste also tend to be light. The fruit esters are not very distinctive but likely to be citrus and yellow fruits. Strong bubblegum but not sugary. Good touch of herbs, earth and light phenolic for a very relax and refreshing feel. THIS IS ART!

Hoppiness: Moderately herbal and earth nose. Same goes for taste plus good lime and sharp grass. Light but distinctive bitterness for a lasting bitter-light sweet finish. Beautiful!

After Taste: Slightly dry. Creamy, easy and herbal to mouth.

Comments: A style founder, a trend setter, or whatever you name it, this brew is the template of Saision - creamy, easy, light but tasty, and thirst-quenching. Simple and elegant, I just can’t get enough of this. Will stock for Summer!
