Almost without bitterness, a good plum-raisin palate. Foam disappearing after 2 minutes. Brown colur. Solid Belgian ale.

kevinsenn (329) - Waterloo, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 14, 2012
Bottle from Siciliano’s in Grand Rapids, MI. Pours hazy dark brown, with a thin beige head. Aroma of chocolate and spice, and a little leather. Sweet taste with dark fruits, leather, chocolate, and spice. Feels a little flat on the tongue, and has a surprisingly light body for such a strong dark ale. Slightly disappointing after the 10, which I found significantly better.

Dark ruby somewhat hazy, slightly brown colored foam head. Sweet bitter smell and taste, like the 10 better. (Velp 201205) ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Slightly of putting diarrhea brown color in the glass. Not getting a lot of noise. Slightly sweet in the mouth, moderate bitterness almost a slight hint of honey. Lingering alcohol sweetness on the finish. Nice fine carbonation. A bit high in the EtOH to be a nice super but that?s the flavor profile.Nice contrast with spicy chili.

Aroma of dark fruit, figs, cherries, mild yeastiness; very nice rich pour with soapy bubbbly head which lasts; taste rich, sweet, fruity, estery; finishes heavy but clears the palate with apple-blueberry flavors

Bottle. 11.2 oz. Pours a crimson amber with a creamy, off-white head. Aroma of hops, raisins, vanilla, figs, dark fruits, plum, chocolate, and hints of coffee. Medium body with a clean, smooth finish. Excellent Belgian strong. More balanced and easier going then the big brother.

330ml bottle. What a great strawberry aroma. Beautiful brown color with a small brown-ish head. Taste is slightly bitter. A very nice mouthfeel with a soft carbonation. Overall a great beer. Love it.
