4.4 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
On tap at Brouwer’s Cafe, and well worth the trip from downtown on my final night in Seattle. Pours pale coppery orange with no head. No lacing - a lighter apple cider look. Aroma is pretty close to heaven; fresh fruit, pine, citrus in a lovely succulent blend. Taste has sweet fruit, pine needles, bitter citrus. A hint of malt. A fruity, lightish, super smooth blend. Gets more bitter thru the glass. Finishes bittersweet about medium length. A wonderful easy drinker.

Draft. Clear deep gold with a medium white head. Aroma and taste are dank with lots of tropical fruit and citrus. Lots of mango and orange. Boozy but not fusel, if that makes any sense. It tastes like a big beer but isn’t "hot." Rich mouthfeel but sufficient carb. Really awesome.

I’ve been looking forward to this for a number of days and am excited about finally finding the time to do it. Duet. Oh my.
The bottle opened, I bring the neck a little closer and breath in bright, perfectly ripe apricot with a backdrop of orange and a hint of pine. The brew is sparkling, clear and dark amber, capped with a fat, soft head, white as snow and just as porous. This is the kind of head that sticks around, cleaves to the glass like your ex-wife...the one that forgot until after the divorce how much she likes your money. It clings in a tight lace, drying sticky and consistent on the sides.
The first sip is a bitter experience, biting the tip of my tongue and finding its way around the edges to the finish. It stings a bit and dries the flat of it, and then brightens to fruitiness again as I swallow. The aroma changes as it warms, a little more of a woodsy tone now as I pull the liquid into my mouth. The body is perfect for an IPA, somewhere between a light and medium body, lightly sticky on my lips and carbonated to perfection. The finish is long, bitter, not taking no for an answer, and promising to affect everything else I taste tonight. Bright, lively, flavorful and exciting; with a bite that promises to make sure you remember the evening, this is an experience I will look for again.

Pizza press. Damn damn fine liquid here. Excellent spicy zip that last right through the aftertaste, darker than normal caramel, fresh apricots, peaches, pine, pineapple, mango. Everything is just better.

Tap at Good Beer NYC launch. Pours a clear deep golden orange, small slight off white head. Aroma is pine forest, super resiny gooey tropical hop, pineapple, lightly boozy mango. Flavor is thick pine, tropical fruit hops, cracker. Gooey mouthfeel throughout. Super solid, exceptionally done really.. Almost tastes bigger than IPA / the ABV. Leaves me wanting more

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
On draft at the office in ridgewood, nj, had it at the brewery but first time reviewing it, dank pine and tropical notes on the nose, more of the same on the taste, some crackery malt in the middle and a nice bitter finish, great IPA and hard to imagine it only has 45 IBU, just a great beer

Growler from Joe Canal’s in Lawrenceville, NJ. Quite pricy at $11.99 for 32 ounces. Bright amber orange color. Moderate foamy beige head. Fragrant fruity malt aroma has notes of melon and perfumy pine hops. Very complex and tropical notes. Delicious tropical fruit maltiness upfront is smooth and spicy. The complex citrus hops come in and balance this wonderful IPA nicely. Very drinkable and refreshing. Not the intense bitterness you expect from a West Coast IPA. The finish is dry and peppery with a hint of Allspice.

A very solid IPA with bright, fresh hop in the aroma and taste. Well balanced and drinks very light for the relatively high ABV. Gulpable.
