COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This delicious farmhouse ale is named for our Jack Russell, who struck by a car, bounced back in fine tenacious Jack Russell fashion, and is brewed for those of us who knocked down, have picked up, dusted off and carried on undaunted. Golden, naturally cloudy, bottle conditioned and dry hopped for a perfectly refreshing balance of spicy malts, hops and yeast. Please enjoy our beers in good health, And look both ways when crossing the street!

Fantastic beer...Hazy golden pour with a short white head. Grass and lemon up front in aroma. Add brets and funk to the taste that made a subtle tart and citrus taste. Nice level of acidity that didn’t linger and high carbonation that worked well. Phenomenal beer. Hope I get to try more jolly pumpkin brews soon.

Shared bottle at Cardinal, Stavanger. Pours hazy golden with a huge frothy white head. Aroma is light sour lemonish. Taste is fresh lemony, light farmhouse and light herbal. Bitter end.

Barcade, Philadelphia tap ($7): Pours a golden color with a white head. Aroma is barely at all noticeable, but has some hints of farmhouse, but really smells more like a light Belgian ale. Taste is similarly subtle. I don’t have anything against subtlety, but I think that this was just too light. I don’t think that the alcohol level could be to blame either, as I have had plenty of low alcohol beers with more substantial flavor. I am glad I only paid 7 bucks for this as opposed to the absurd 10 bucks or more that other bars would charge.

Draft at 2013 Crystal Mt. Beer & Brat festival. Pours light cloudy yellow color. Small white head. Aroma of sour apples. Flavor is of tangy fruit. Mouth feel of the same. Haven’t acquired a taste of the sour beers yet. Not really my thing. I’ll keep trying them though because their audience keeps growing.

Batch 859/861 Bottled 8-3-2011 Served in a Duvel Tulip. A - Pours a hazy golden color with a 2 finger head that held up very well. A few droopy lines of lacing. S - Funky basement yeast, spicy, dusty dry grass, pears, sourdough bread, tangy fruit, dank wheat malt, T - Nice tart lemon upfront, allspice, heavy dose of pepper, soured fruit, dried apples and pears, the brett yeast is more subtle than the nose but really compliments the beer. Notes of wood in the background. Finishes dry with a crisp citrus bite at the end. M - Moderate foamy carbonation settles down a bit half way through the glass, light to medium body. Not super complex but great flavors packed into a small ABV. Very impressed by that. The lemon was a tad lactic, plenty of spiciness, solid fruity middle with a dry finish. The aroma was almost perfect for what I want a Saison to smell like. I liked this better than the E.S. Bam. Serving type: bottle 09-15-2012

Bottle @ Mikkeller&Friends - Farmhouse tasting. Pours clear yellow with a lasting creamy/frothy white small head. Aroma is tangy apple, sour fruit, horse blanket, sweet caramel, lemon, flowery, yeast, very light lactic and spices. Taste is light sweet, bitter and tart. Body is light, texture is thin/watery, carbonation is moderate. Finishes very dry with a lasting light bitterness. A neat combination of crisp and tart.

Draft at Bru Craft for a JP event. Very cloudy blonde pour (but that may just be this draft.) Some lace. Very pleasant farmhouse taste. Golden wheat. Hay. Full body for the style - though all the particulate matter in this glass could be this one off bottom of the keg pour. Liked quite a lot.

Bomber. Hazy yellow with a boatload of carbonation. Also smells a bit soapy. Sweet yeast funk. Sour and dry. All the extra co2 hurts the overall experience.

UPDATED: MAY 30, 2013 Bam Biere pours a cloudy gold, with two fingers of off white head. Citrus aroma with notes of pine. Has a nice citrus flavor with hints of malt and spice. This Ale also has a tangy/ sour flavor that i really enjoy and is common with farmhouse style brews. Medium carbonation with a nice hop presence. Bam Biere finishes with a clean tangy ending with a mild lingering essence of malt.

A great farmhouse ale. A bit sour, quite funky, and definitely light and refreshing. Delicious if you enjoy the style.
