Flaska på Akkurat - Stockholm 2011.
Trevlig fatdoft. Tydliga vindruvor. Extrem syrlig men ändå fin balans mot druvorna. Lång eftersmak med tydlig sötton. Mycket gott!!
4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20 gyllenbock (1608) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - JAN 16, 2012
Bottle at Akkurat in Januari 2012.
Hazy reddish/orange with a thin white head. Very nice aroma on this one. Vinous with citrus, berries, oak and grapes. Not that sour aroma. The taste was very tart and sour, really wonderful beer to drink. Very fresh despite its age. Also nicely balanced and very elegant. I must drink this beer again.
4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 cpetrone84 (623) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 6, 2012
Pour is transparent deep golden amber with very little white head. The nose nice, light funk, a bit musky and dank, sweet vinous aromas, cherry and red grape with light tart and dusty notes. The flavor has the light funk, musky and dank. The barrel blends in well adding oak, sweet red grapes, smooth vinous flavors. The finish has the dusty cantillon funk as the medium body smoothly rolls over the tongue with a sharp carbonation and dry finish. The barrel is integrated extremely well, very drinkable beer.
4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20 MrChopin (2060) - Baltimore, Maryland, USA - JUL 16, 2011
Dark amber with red hints, large white bubbled gravity pour goes to a medium ring. Nose is soft, barely sour with heavy grape flesh, lighter cobweb than Reed Muscat, bit sweeter. Flavor is very dry, lightly acetic, and well-balanced between mid-palate pulpy-sweetness and the ending skin-like dryness. Low carbonation helps preserve the grape nuances, and though acetic is present, it’s not enough to ruin the profile-body match, particularly as this captures the grape well.
4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 pantanap (2720) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUN 24, 2011
Cantillon reed gueuze pinot noir. Bottlepurhased and consumed at akkurat which is of no
surprise. Shared with per. Thanks for meeing us out. 750ml bottle with
a gold foil that rests at the stem... Pours a mostly transparent,
somewhat hazy reddish amber brown pour, a little more reddish in
nature, and a thin milky white head rests on top Whig quickly retreats
towards the outer edges... Aroma of sharp funkiness upfront,
horseblanket but not cheese-like. Red fruit pinot berey qualities are
evident and counterbalance the natural lambic base... Flavors are
sharp and mostly acidic and very consistent to that of the aroma. Nice
gueuze-like funk base, assertive acidity. Red wine imparts a subtle yet noticeable red fruit qualities.
Carbonation is high and fairly active which bodes well for it’s
enjoyability and ability to quench a lambic lover’s palate. Sour at
first, barely a hint of sweetness through the middle, and then
finishes hugely dry. Very nice all around.

Bottle at Akkurat, shared with tarheels86. Color of pink grapefruit, solid white head and lacing. Aroma of rose petals and perennials. Taste has moderate sourness, strawberry. Sweet start, very dry and sour finish. Nice.
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 GT2 (3414) - Washington DC, USA - APR 13, 2011
750mL 2005 ed gold foil from Akkurat in Stockholm. The pour is a hazy, ruby strawberry with a thin, white head with weak sauce retention. Aroma is bright citrus, fresh and fruity, floral, sweet, strawberry and blueberry forward. Actually smells a lot like New Glarus Raspberry Tart. Sweet and berry forward with not much funk or impending sourness. Taste is leathery, bright, ultra mouth watering sour, spicy, light vinegar, rust, grape skin tannic, lemon heavy. Really needs to age for another 10 years without a doubt. Palate is relaxed, heavy leather, spicy, tannic, hot acetic. Very nice, but not as good as Pinot d’Aunis- lacks the pepper and subtlety. This one is just over the top and needs time to mature.
4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 callmemickey (702) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 20, 2010
UPDATED: JAN 16, 2012 Bottle shared with my wife on my birthday, August 17 2010 at Akkurat.
A: Reddish-orange body. Medium sized off-white head. Not much lacing as the head slowly receded.
S: Red grapes, lemon, a bit of oak, some funk, and some pepper. Indicative of the acidic/sour treat to come.
T: A fine vinous character dominates from start to finish courtesy of the red grapes and pepper. The musty oak, light pepper and farmhouse funk brings this cleary back to lambic land. Quite sour and tart. Healthy dose of lactic acidity.
M: Balanced with a good effervescent carbonation. Moderate tartness and sourness. Dry finish.
O: A very nice beer... lucky to be able to make the trip to Stockholm and be able to try this treat.
