COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Fast on the heels of our fantasticly reformulated Hops Infusion, our brewers have picked up the gauntlet and brewed a Double IPA using exclusively Simcoe(R) Hops! This west coast Hops was created in 2000 by Select Botanicals, Inc. and carries a fantastic flavor profile abounding with citrusy-grapefruit, piney, resiny notes that pushes this Double IPA over the top. 9.0% ABV in the brew gives it a nice malt foundation as well. Draft and bottles, 12 oz. in PA, 22 oz. out of state (as we have no 6-packs),

Pours a hazy red-copper color with a small head. Aroma is earthy and sweet with caramel. Taste is caramel and toffee malt backbone plus plenty of hops - grapefruit, pine, and plenty of bite. Alcohol is very-well hidden, and the palate is smooth and full. Low carbonation. Outstanding DIPA, very drinkable and enjoyable.

Pours red amber with a medium carbed head. Big aromas of fruity hops, mango, citrus, pine, with some caramel in the back of all that wonderful hop potency. Flavors of citrus, pine, apricot and grapefruit. Alcohol comes in the nose but no distinct taste of it, bitter aftertaste with some apricot, slightly over the top carbonation, slightly acidic.

Bärnstensfärgad med vitt skum. Doft av tallbarr och en del maltighet. Smaken drar mer åt grapefrukt. En ok IPA men inte så kraftig som jag väntat mig av en DIPA. Kollade inte datum på flaskan.

I don’t know if I got a bad batch but this tasted like paint thinner to me. I love the simcoe hop but this was just horrible.

Dense coppery color, nice hops taste. Alcohol masked well. Very solid double IPA, but not distinctive. -- Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone.

from notes: The aroma is pure cat piss. You are first hit with such a sweet whiff of hops and flowers that you believe that you are actually smelling a litter box. The first taste is pure hop head bliss. The use of only a single hop to get this flavor is pure genius. I could drink this all day everyday. Nice.

Bottle. Cloudy brown beer with a strong head. The aroma is malty, and the flavour is deeply roasted with very bitter and malty body and a spiced finish. Overall a reasonable very bitter, malty and roasted beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a clear and dark golden beer with a weak offwhite head. The aroma is malt and hops with citrus and grapefruit. The flavor follows the nose. The palate is bitterness. Overall this is a good beer.

Draft at the Bocktown tasting on 04/28/12. Kaboom! This is a delicious double IPA! Big grassy hop scent with a sweet finishing tinge. The golden tinted bronze pour held a foamy head. Sticky, medium palate. Big grass hop taste up front with a nice malty bitter kick at the end.

Pours a nice dark golden brown, with little head or lacing. Smell is nice of some malty fruit and hops. Taste is pretty malty, with a bit of alcohol and fruity malts, with a bit of hop aftertaste. Good and weird.
