COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Torpedo is an assertive American IPA deep reddish-gold in color, with a smooth and bready malt presence and over-the-top hop aromas. The beer has a solid bitterness and a massive hop flavor, yet remains easy drinking with a pleasant dry finish.

This beer is very close to perfection. Beautiful foamy head, delicious hoppy aroma, and damn near perfect taste. The hoppiness is very present, but not at all overwhelming. Very very good beer.

Deep coppery color with an off white head. Crisp, hoppy, with a hint of floralness, grass, and pine. Very nice, crisp and dry finish. Punchy.

Draft with Simon and Vinny at pub. Pours a hazy amber orange. Key with thin white head. Aroma is restrained hop and spice. Mouthfeel is lightly buttered with notes of bitter citrus and a light malt base.

Golden colour with a white head that last for a long bit. Typical american IPA aroma with citrus, pineapple, and some caramel. Medium to full body. Very hoppy finish. Overall a very pleasant IPA in my opinion.

355ml bottle into a pint glass. Pours a cloudy golden red with a small amount of velvety off white head. The aroma hits you as soon as you open the bottle. This beer is incredibly fragrant with a stunningly beautiful nose. The aromas of peach and banana are truly lovely. Lovely yeast and and banana notes on the attack, with a beautiful sweet honey flavour along with some bitterness on the mid palate. The finish is very bitter, and the finish lingers for days. There is also a hint of the peach from the nose on the mid palate and staying barely noticeable to the finish. Mouth feel is smooth and creamy. This beer is really wonderful, although the finish is just a shade too bitter for my palate. Really great.

Won’t be able to hit the bottle shop til tomorrow and I didn’t want to break into the cellar so I picked up a six pack close to home. Appearance: Torpedo hits the glass and produced a strong, brownish red amber color. A gorgeous white, two-finger head stood tall and sudsy. Quite the eye appeal. Smell: Hops are of course the strongest scent. Slightly lime like with a hint of grapefruit. The malt backbone is there and has a great sweetness that balances everything out. Taste: Although the malt stands tall in the scent, it lets the hops do the work on the tongue. Powerful bittering that can only be described as "hoppy". The flavor never strays into too aromatic or too bitter and it constantly invites another taste. Mouthfeel: Torpedo doesn’t exactly live up to it’s name in the mouthfeel department. It’s slightly sticky but the carbonation carries it well and it goes down quite refreshingly. Overall: Another hit from the boys in Chico. As a hop fan, it’s a great session. And at 7% I don’t feel as guilty drinking 4 of them as I do when I’m putting Hoptimums down. A tasty everyday drinking brew.

Poured a nice looking amberish tan color, clear, small rising bubbles, decent head and nice lacing. Smells typically IPAish, piney, hoppy, noticeable sweetness not typical of an IPA, perhaps some faint caramel malts. Tastes piney and hoppy. Sweetness comes thru in the taste but not too much, adds a nice touch. Fairly bitter. Malty character provides good balance. A little bit of resinous oiliness from the hops. Pretty nice mouthfeel, fairly thick and rich, pretty good feel but the bitterness lingers a bit long. Drinks pretty well. Definitely a fine IPA.

Bottle. Pours clear amber, with a thick creamy head. Aroma is wet pine, with cones and ferns and the whole woody package. Flavour is a sweet fruity orange bitterness, with a nice grapefruit bitterness in the finish.

Pours hazy amber color with small head. Aroma of pine, hoppy citrus fruits, grass and mild caramel. Flavor of fruits, hops, caramel notes and some lemon. Crisp and bitter when fresh, this one was a bit old though, much smoother.

A very nice bitter flavor and yet well rounded. A flowery bitterness. Dark amber in color with a lasting white head.
