He’brew Bittersweet Lenny’s RIPA has an extremely thick, foamy, beige head, a clear, amber appearance, some tiny streaming bubbles, and a lot of thick lacing left on the glass. The aroma is of pungent, sweet malt and hops, some citrus, hop oil, underlying alcohol, and brown bread. The taste is all that, plus a strong hop bitterness, rye spice, dates, caramel, and candy sugar. Mouthfeel is medium to heavy, and He’brew Bittersweet Lenny’s RIPA finishes semi-dry, pleasant, and surprisingly drinkable. This is simply a perfect beer, if there ever is one, and I recommend it in the strongest way! RJT

Enjoyable and drinkable Rye IPA. Decent aroma and pours a nice clear amber. Nice rye malt balanced well with the hops. Not overly boozy. Medium body, crisp, with a decent amount of bitterness and not overly carbonated. I’ll enjoy the four pack.

Decently balanced though I would’ve liked more spiciness from the supposed rye content.

Into a chilled mug, pours dark copper, with a small head. Nice lacing left on the mug. Unassuming aroma of pine, malts, citrus, alcohol...but taste is BIG, BOLD, and sweet at the front, with a beautiful dry, bitter, rye-hop romp amongst the pines twinge! The finish is bitter and superb. This is bold stuff, artfully blending the high alcohol content within the complexity of flavors - and pulling it all off with great balance. A considerable feat for such a high alcohol content, blurring the boundaries between double IPAs and Barley wines. An interesting, well done, and memorable brew.

From a bottle; pours a clear copper with a thin off white head; aroma is caramel and rye; taste is caramel with yeast, citrus and a touch of pine; finish is mostly dry with a strong alcohol finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

bottle @ Party Town / Florence KY --- Clear dark amber with a beige head cover, hanging curtains of lace. Strong aroma of malt and alcohol. Taste is full-bodied malt that adds hops and alcohol on the swallow, all moving smoothly to a finish that is heavy on the alcohol side. A big, bold brew, but almost outside the range of beer.

From a four pack, dark and foamy, good looking glass of beer. It’s bitter at first and a little sweet, it’s 10% and you can hardly tell until you are half way through the 3rd beer. Next thing you know you are looking up Lenny Bruce on the internet, learning about freedom of speech, and appreciating the right we have to say whatever we want. "Nothing is sadder than an aging hipster". I agree Lenny, I agree.

Very malty and peppery taste and aroma. Some piney hop balance, but definitely malt dominant and spicy. Almost has a barley wine feel with a bit less in the hops than other barley wines. Very well made beer, but I am not a huge rye fan. But still nice and very well made. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Malty and funky IPA on the rye end of things. Pours dark brown with OK head and lacing. Medium bitter finish. Citrus and big rye aroma. Bottle.

Draft at Moriartys. Tulip. Hazy dark amber pour. Strong splashes of lace. Somewhat heady earthy hop malt flavors. Fairly spicy. Dandelions. Sunflowers. Malty bamboo. Sharp earthy hops. Blood oranges. Burnt citrus peels. Dark caramel oranges. Interesting hoppy middleground.
