4.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
22oz bottle, yellow wax 2007. Had this from notes bottle shared at REM release. One of the best BW’s I’ve had. Pours a wonderful caramel hue, slight head. Aromas are filled with toffee, vanilla, caramel, and slight citrus from the hops still present in the nose. Palate is tremendously balanced and smooth with a slight bittering finish. Flavors and bold following the nose perfect, great weight too, nothing thin. Would I say this could go longer? Yes. Ages so good.

2013 bomber. Pours dark amber with some sediment near the end. Aroma of orange peel, honey, hops, and prune. Tastes very smiling and sweet with an aggressive, hoppy/boozy bitter finish. Flavors of brown sugar, orange, hops, and slight dark fruit hints. Very nice sipper.

"style-wise this sure seems like an english style. sweet toffee and caramel flavors and aroma, some fruit too. way more than the hops, which were just enough to balance it. very well done. no idea what the vintage was. thanks pfoxyjohn. "

Man how they do this, so rich yet so hoppy, not bitter astringent hoppy but big fruity mango hoppy, then such a big rich malt backbone. Worthy of a 6
