4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 UriahHeep (105) - USA - FEB 3, 2009
UPDATED: MAY 29, 2009 Draft @ Dos Copas. 20 oz in a pint glass. Now this is good beer. "Golden" orange appearance, hence the name. Cloudy. Left lacing on the glass. Aroma of spices and banana. Full bodied, complex taste. Bread, vanilla, clove. Great balance of sweetness and hoppy bitterness. Has quite a bite with 9.5%. Warming esters provide a tingly sensation.

Delightful, will continue to buy this one. Floral, bread, earthy aroma. Medium sweetness light bitterness. Lively carbonation overall pleasant. Victory wins again!

From a bottle into a pint glass. Pours golden w a thin bite head. Boozy aroma with Belgian funk and fruit. Medium heavy mouthfeel. Tastes like drinking gasoline. This is waaaaaaay hotter than even the 9.5% abv it is. The burn just overpowers everything. Not a fan at all. Epic fail by Victory.

A light gold brew with a decent head. Belgian flavours evident, coriander and a noticeable alcohol kick. Reminded me of a Duvel, but a bit heavier with the alcohol. Good stuff!

I tried this beer since I wanted to try something different and i’m in love with it. The smell of it was fine, had a golden color, tasted refreshing, and did not have a bitter aftertaste.

Really nice one. Pours orange-straw with thin head and little lacing. Nose is floral and yeast. Up front in the mouth flowery and then some lemon and maybe some light sweet pears. Finish is bitter and peppery. Lots of carbonation. Medium-light in the mouth. Alcohol is too well hidden, this feels like you could drink all night.

I am not a big fan of Belgium style beers, but I really like this one. Great taste, no taste of alcohol even at over 9%. Trying something different than IIPAs..... Victory makes some great beers. Loved Hop Wallop and will try Hop Devil soon.

This one has a soft coriander taste to it. Soft carbonation - a really smooth drink all the way down. It’s an unpretentious but very drinkable triple. I could go through a lot of these. A relaxing beer. Bottle from City Market in Burlington.

This beet is well over spiced for a tripel...not worth the time for a good recipe.

Clear golden in appearance, no head at all in my ccb snifter. Aroma is bold of fruits and spices common to the style. Taste follows the nose, pretty easy to drink, hides the alcohol well where at 9.5% this could be dangerous. As with this style the larger bottle conditioned corked and caged bottle is far superior to the 12oz bottles

The spices of this beer are very enjoyable in the summer. Very light on the palate. Great when paired with grilled fish!
