4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
This is one of the best beers that I’ve ever had. Tasted a shot glass of it at the brewpub and was motivated to buy my first growler ever. This is a beer that is everything it sounds like it should be and more. Just wow, wow...wow...To me just a creme brulee espresso bomb in your mouth. There is so little alcohol on the palate that you’d think this isn’t really beer.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Aroma of sweet toffee, caramel, crème brule, and roast cereal grain. Appears nearly black brown with thick caramel foam and some lace. Tastes of good cigar smoke, roast grain, the taste is much dryer than the aroma, and finishes on a slightly bitter charred marshmallow note, this beer is absolutely beautiful! Texture is a bit oily, in a nice way, mild fizz. Overall, this beer is top notch, the texture could be more fizzy, but overall this is an amazing beer.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
Tap. Dark black. Creamy tan head. Sweet nose of coffee, caramel. Tastes of burnt caramel, coffee, some rich chocolate. ABV definitely noticeable on this one, but in a good way. Surprisingly not as creamy as expected.

3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle dated June 2010
A- Pours a pitch black hue. Absolutely no light passes through. Little to no head.
S- Lots of coffee, huge milk and dark chocolate notes, hints of berry, roasted malt.
T- Tart up front, strawberries, raspberry peach, followed by deep coffee notes and hints of dark chocolate finished by a light hop bitterness.
M- Thick with decent carbonation.
D- This one may be infected, not sure it’s supposed to be sour. Will rerate should I have the chance.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: DEC 25, 2013 On draft at the Kuhnhenn Winter Solstice. The pour is black, with a lighter khaki head and a decent lace. The aroma is very heavy in coffee, with a decent crème brûlée positive note. The bit of roastyness that exists is pretty drown out by the coffee. The flavor is initially very bitter. The caramel mores come through about half way through and it finishes a little dry and slightly strange for an imperial. Overall it’s a good stout, but the aromas led me to believe this would be incredible where the flavors just let it down a bit

Tap @ GTMW 13.
pour is nearly black, with a small off-white head.
Aroma is packed with vanilla, coffee and slight chocolate. (Some might say, it’s a mix of crème Brulé and Americano)
The taste is pretty sweet upfront, with a roasted/coffee - bitterness to it.
Medium bodied, with a slightly fizzy carbonation.
