A - Pours very dark brown, almost black with red hues when held to the light. 2 fingers of dark tan head that retain well and leave average lacing.
S - Smoke malts, chicory wood, roasted coffee, sweet and savory meats, roasted pineapple, berry fruit.
T - Sweeter than I thought it would be. Dairy chocolate, smoked malts, caramelized malts, berry fruit, cured meats, toasted bread crust. Finishes with an even amount of roast and smoke.
M - Moderate carbonation, silky and syrupy feel, medium body.
I like it. Plenty of smoke without overbearing other flavors. AS fine blend of malts and just the right sweetness. Drink very easily, especially if your grilling.

Draft x2 at Alchemy. Opaque brown-black, lacy beige head. Wow. Bigtime chocolate smoke flavors. Burnt bacon, coffee. Lingering burnt smokey aftertaste, some mild alcohol warmth. Hardcore, for the true rauchstars. Sweet, intensely sugary, yet has some classic porter characteristics too. Completely delicious, expert execution.

Black pour, frothy tan head. Fruity aroma - cherry, molasses, roast malt, smoke. Flavour follows the nose, subtle smokey malt, estery sweetness, molasses, followed by roasted malt and finally moderate hop bitterness. Mouthfeel is slick and full. Flat carbonation. Long finish, balanced between smoked malt and hops.

Pours a solid black with a bubbly khaki head and lacing. It has an aroma of smoke with a small background of chocolate and coffee. The flavor is smoke and some coffee, chocolate, and dark malt over a smooth, creamy body.

Draft to taster. Looks good; a mostly opaque dark cola with foamy beige head that slowly dissipates into sticky lacing. Smells solid; dark malt, roast, and smoke. Tastes like it smells with some chocolate too. Nice and smooth on the palate. A good, well-balanced example of the style.
