4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Dark brown opaque pour w/ a thick small bubbled tan head with thick lacing. Sweet brown sugars, oak, chocolate, hints of vanilla. Full well coated palate, thick rich and creamy. Flavor is devine! Rich milk chocolates are the lead taste, a tiny hint of tart cherry, a good amount of vanilla, a dry oaky finish, warm swallow but a very well hidden alcohol and a surprising 13%. Aftertaste is almost a syruppy sweet quality. I wish I had more of this as I think it would pair well with a big cheese or something like that. Loved it!

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Fra fad på Mikkellerfriends, Stefansgade juli-14: hold på hatte, her stiger en intens aroma av svisker, mørk sjokolade, like mørke krisebær, kokos og vanilje. Like intens smak, hver minste munnfull nytes til det ytterste. Eksepsjonelt rund og fristende, fristende. Mersmak i høyeste potens. Her gjelder det å mobilisere viljestyrken hvis man skal komme seg uskadet hjem gjennom parken. Minneverdig.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
Deep brown color with almost no head. Aroma is roasted malt, some hops, caramel, brown sugar, breadines and a lot of alcohol. Taste is sweet roasted malt with alcohol present big time. A beer a didn't enjoy cause I don't like beers with a smell or taste of alcohol really present.

This Barleywine barrel aged is very good. If you go at Russian River brewing, you can to buy This Beer 2 years ago. The older better!
Much wood, oak and toffee.

2013 bomber bottle. Aroma is bourbon with some barley wine in it. Appearance is brown with a little cream color head. Taste has bourbon through out. Very sweet from the malt. Very complex. You can also taste the wood. Palate finishes very chocolate malt with the wood. Overall, easily one of the best beers I have had. Would live to get some more.
