COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Big boozy bourbon and American oak aromas combined with soft chocolate malty undertones. Complex malt flavors framed in oak, with hints of dark chocolate, vanilla, tobacco, coconut and just a touch of dark cherry. This is definitely a sipping beer, best served in a brandy snifter. This ale pairs well with dark chocolate and sturdy cheeses.

Note: Sucaba is the beer formerly known as Abacus until the Winter 2012 release.

Pours amber coffee brown with a quickly dissipating head. Moderate aromas of sweet malt and toffee. Full nectar with good carbonation. I like how this beer has a high complex value while remaining classy. It’s not overdone. Most barleywines of this magnitude are much too sweet and unbalanced. This brew reaches a new pinnacle. This beer has gone where no beer has gone before. Much more English in style exhibiting flavors of toffee, butterscotch, coconut, and a hint of cherry. Big on Bourbon. Love this brew. I feel a TRUMP card comin’ on. Bamn!

Draught at the Firestone Walker Barrelworks, Buellton, CA.
Dark red brown colour with a small light tan head. Sweetness, dark fruits, raisins and citrus in an amazing aroma. The flavour is sweetness, dessert wine, dark fruitiness and raisins. Complex. Amazing. So so so tasty.

Bottle, two years old. Pours dark and clear amber brown with medium beige head. Aroma is tons of vanilla, overripe fruits, dried fruits, port wine, bourbon barrel, coconut, caramel, malty. Taste is quite mellow, port whine, dried fruits, loads of vanilla and bourbon. Bit sugary mouthfeel. Chocolate in there as well. Medium carbonation and full body.

Sample at cbc 2015. Amber with a offwhitehead. Oak, malty, strong alcohol, dried fruits. Yet a just another barley.
