COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Belgian Ales represent the height of the brewers' art. Sophisticated brewing techniques, yeast blends and unique flavoring elements have elevated the beers of Belgium to the status enjoyed by wine in other countries. PranQster follows in this tradition using a mixed culture of antique yeast strains that results in a floral nose, a full fruity flavor and a clean finish.

Pours a hazy honey color with a nice amount of white head. Aroma is sweet bananas and a lot of malt. Flavor is sweet, nutty and fruity. A bit of hops in the background and an alcohol bite at the finish. Nicely carbonated. One of my favorites.

Bright, hazy golden with an off-white head. Aroma of citrus, tropical fruit, bubblegum, bread, and a little spice. The taste is a little faint compared with the aroma; yeasty and just a little sweet. Medium body, light carbonation, slight bitterness at the finish.

Very fruity and very floral, which generally means this would not be my style of beer. But excellent flavor and very enjoyable. It was overpowered by the burger I had it with, but would be great without food.

Tap. Pours slightly hazy to clear yellow-gold with a small off-white head that dissipates quickly with minimal lacing. Aroma is mildly fruity, with doughy yeast and wheat notes. Taste is slightly sweet, yeasty, wheaty. Slightly odd aftertaste that I could not place; slightly bitter finish.

Hazy gold color with aroma of belgian hops. Decent foamy white head that diminishes to a wisp of foam on top with a bubbly ring aorund the side of the glass. Taste is very refreshing, lemony hops, a crisp finish with a bit of warming in the chest.

Amber pour. This has an earthy malt aroma complimented by some floral yeast notes. The flavor is largely earthy malt with some fruity yeast to it. Decent but not my favorite.

Pours cloudy gold with a thick white head. Aroma is strong yeast & faint boiled peanut (if you can imagine that). There are some malt aromas in the background too. Flavor is like a sweet-bread. Some pepper like flavors show up in the finish along with the malts.

The first time I tried this one I was dissapointed, but only in comparison to 2 very different brews - both among my favorites- from this brewery: Old Rasputin Imperial Stout and Brother Thelonious Ale. I was also hoping that this would live up to to legend of Ken Kesey’s Merry Pranksters the way the other 2 lived up to their infamous namesakes. Thankfully I did not rate it then. I gave this a second try today and enjoyed it on its own merits. 12 oz bottle pours a cloudy golden color with a small but persistent off-white head and practically no lacing. Nose is full of yeast. Aroma has orange peel, cloves, and other spices. Mouthfeel is very lively due to active carbonation. Body is medium to full, Taste is sweet but not overly so. A very good and well-crafted American Belgian, but still not one of the very best.

From bottle. Very citrus aroma. Light orange color fairly see through. Semi bitter light taste. Very small aftertaste. Overall a very easy drinking beer.
