COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This titanic, immensely viscous stout is loaded with inimitable flavors of chocolate-covered caramel and coffee and hide a hefty 98 IBUs underneath the smooth blanket of malt. Ten FIDY (10.5% ABV) is made with enormous amounts of two-row malt, chocolate malt, roasted barley, flaked oats and hops. Pleasing aroma of prune and raisin with light raspberry and bready roastiness, alcohol sweetness. Ripe red apple. Pours pitch black with creamy lasting brown head Vanilla flavor right up front with fruity raspberry/cherry like flavor with bready grain and yeast finished with a bitter espresso coffee Full bodied, smooth, low co2, alcohol warmth and a lingering alcohol sweetness with bitter roasty finish. Excellent brew! Very complex, thick yet not cloying in anyway. Very well put together all the flavors play their part. It’s like a sequence of events when tasting this.

Holy crap...viscous, abominable and bursting to the seems with big roasted malts. Tons of chocolate, smoky roasted malts, coffee and big heavy alcohol. The pour is purely black with a creamy tan head that clings to the glass all over. Smooth but intense with big smoky chocolate notes, heavy espresso notes. RObust and intense with a great afterburn of booze and roast.

12 oz can from New Seasons Market in Hillsboro, OR. Aroma is boozy, roasty, and malty, with hints of molasses, chocolate, and bug spray. Mouthfeel and taste is syrupy, sweet, and creamy throughout, and finishes with a slight astringency. Pretty fantastic!

Poured from a can. Poured a beautiful thick dark color. Aroma is sweet and syrupy. Taste is sickly sweet like raisin and cherries, not my favorite. Each taste made me pucker a bit less.

Draft at 3floyds brewpub. Pours a pitch motor oil black with a tanned brown head. Nose has roasted coffee, dark chocolate, molasses and burn malts. Very coffee driven. Taste is all about roasted espresso and molasses. Smooth chocolate coats the palate. Dry coffee bitterness to finish. Fantastic beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

If you like dark this one is for you. A very rich tasting beer with even favors that are layered to make a complex flavor experience.

355ml can. A thick black pour with a chocolate brown cap. Messy lacing. Rich chocolate nose, roast, caramel, coffee and a hint of licorice. Taste has big roasted malts that bring out black coffee beans, and dark chocolate, some caramel. Finishes with decent bitterness, lots of dark coffee and roast notes. Some alcohol at the end, long aftertaste. Full mouthfeel. Overall a very solid imperial stout.

Dark black and thick. Complex malt profile with coffee, chocolate, brown sugar. Nicely balanced sweetness and slight lingering hop bitterness. Excellent go-to stout.

Pour to snifter. Black with brown head. Complex palate: Light and heavy simultaneously, smooth for high ABV. Complex flavor: chocolate, roasted malt, coffee, black molasses, and more. Just a damn good beer.
