This titanic, immensely viscous stout is loaded with inimitable flavors of chocolate-covered caramel and coffee and hide a hefty 98 IBUs underneath the smooth blanket of malt. Ten FIDY (10.5% ABV) is made with enormous amounts of two-row malt, chocolate malt, roasted barley, flaked oats and hops. Ten FIDY is the ultimate celebration of dark malts and boundary-stretching beer.

After reading PissSinkerís comments, what else could be said about this brew. Usually I donít care for the imperial stoudts, but this is a good brew!!

Poured from can to glass. Opaque black hue with brown head that lingered. Aroma is roasted malt, cocoa, coffee, vanilla, caramel, slight smoke, umami, cola. Mouthfeel is fantastic with a medium full body and great carbonation. Taste is sweet throughout with a sharpness following and a sweet roasted ethanol finish. Overall this is a great imperial sweet stout. Plus, I love that its in a can for hiking. "Pack it in, pack it out."

Pours black as black can be with a dark leather tan head. Warm dark roasted malts hit the nose like black German bread and bold roasted coffee. Flavor matches the nose but richer and fuller. Definite alcohol presence but not overbearing. Truly delicious.

Poured from a 12 oz. Can at home. This beer is Awesome. I was really surprised by this beer out of a can. This has changed my thoughts about canned beers. This is a remarkable stout that pours dark black with a tan head. Smells of chocolate and malt. Taste is the same! First is the bitterness of the chocolate and a little coffee in there. The after-taste is just a really smooth, good taste on the back of your tongue. Overall, this beer is is just a solid stout that I would highly recommend.

36cl can, American brew, thx to Koen!, very complex Stout, roasted/sweet and slightly spicy/bitter, balanced, hazy, good head, very good Winter brew, "As I got this as a gift (I normally never rate cans), I could not resist rating it..."

Poured from a can into a snifter. Appears black with a light brown/tan head. Higher carbonation than expected. Aroma is sweet. Close to chocolate... Slight roasting/coffee. Repeated breathes give a light bourbon component. A nice touch. Taste is oak, coffee, and roast with sweet in there somewhere. Possibly chocolate. Some bitterness but this moves into the palate. Mouthfeel/palate is described as perfect! Bitterness balances sweet in an incredible way. Never never never would say this is 98 IBUs. The carbonation contributes to the after burn however itís comparable to a highly carbonated beer. So Iím saying well done... From a guy who does not like over hopped beer. Overall one of the best stouts Iíve ever had. Without barrel aging or additional components! Welcome to Minnesota Oskar Blues!

WOW. This is a remarkable stout. Completely opaque with a tan head. Very strong chocolate and roasted malt almost makes the alcohol content unnoticeable. Also, I love the can.

Bought in four pack cans. Poured into glass. Has a very dark thick appearance and the aroma is nice and Carmel sweet smelling.. The taste is very smooth at first. Slight hoppiness during swallowing. But it mellows out quickly for a smooth dark aftertaste. Caramel, coffee, smoke comes to mind.. Imperial stouts are my favorite so I gave this one a high ranking for my preference.
