COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Stille Nacht (Silent Night) is a prestige beer from De Dolle Brouwers brewed for Christmas. It has the highest density of any Belgian beer (27°Pl), has been boiling for 5 hours, brewed with pale malt with white candi sugar in the kettle. The Nugget hops and dry hopping gives an extra bitterness to balance the extreme sweetness due to the density. The taste triangle is completed with some acidity of the fermentation. It is a very interesting beer to age. We have samples of every bottling we have done so far and aging does not mean decreasing quality with this beer. Keep some samples at 10°C and mark the year on the cap with an alcohol marker. Cheers!!

Share with Nate. ’07 from VE. Pours red with floaters, white head, lasting with decent lacing. Caramel, Raisin, cherry, brown sugar. Alcohol warmth, brown sugar, caramel, raisin, cherry, orange, mild bitter, lingering to after with alcohol. Just awesome. Aged well. Tasty, tasty BSA.

Sweet, with some slight lemony citrus flavor, pepper, burnt sugar, and some slight clove-like spiciness. Sweet, malty, and complex, with a strange dryness.

A - Gushes out of the bottle and pours a deep, dark orangey hue with a massive, off white head that leaves quite a bit of head. S- Plum, cherry, apricot, grape. Amazing to just stick your nose in. T- Grape, cherry, strong alcohol burn, light hop notes. M- Medium bodied and effervescent. D- Amazing beer to sip on. Just when I thought I hadn’t had a belgian beer in some time that really blew my socks off ...

Pours dark golden color out of bottle. Quick fading white head leaving some lacing on glass. Aroma is wine and malt. Initially a strong malt flavor followed by white grape juice. Finishes with some toffee and a hint of bitterness. Chewy mouth feeli with nice carbonation.

330 ml bottle at home, into a tulip glass. ABV 12% Dark orange copper colour on the body, with a small, slighty off-white head sitting on top, thin also and with low retention. Light lacing left on the glass. Aroma of sweet malts, sugar, grapes, some red fruits. Nice taste, quite wine-like, white grapes, quite sweet, sugar. Alcohol notable but only as a light burn on the finish and a warming feeling on the body. Medium thick body, soft carbonation. Overall very good and especially on a cold weather.

Color trials, such as the triple. But it is written with 13% alcohol content. Myself were included in the mouth is not so much in the hope but was surprised at the moment when I drank. ’s A taste and a strong full-bodied but delicious balance of sweetness and alcohol is exquisite. I also drink a neat indeed for a refreshing fragrance smell like grass does. I was not impressed with this beer is made really well.

ASPETTO: color oro carico, schiuma bianca, buona presenza, fine e media persistenza .

Difficile e complessa. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhold

This is one of the very best. At least for my taste. Poured into an Oerbier glass, the first thing you’ll notice is the color. Unlike almost every other Christmas beer, Stille Nacht is clear orange. The aroma is very complex and difficult to describe: apple, maybe some honey, some vanilla (?). The head is white and lasts pretty long. Onto the first sip. Again, a pretty unique tasting experience... Starts off sweet, yet the finish is rather dry with some roasted malts and you can notice the hops. Love the apple like taste, which makes this quite refeshing. I will try to keep some of these bottles in the cellar for aging, but it will be quite the challenge. To summarize: another great beer by Dolle Brouwers, but that is no surprise. Hope I can get hold of a Reserva one day.

Aroma is bananas/bubblegum, mild/medium sweetness and slightly perfumed fruit. The flavor is fruit/bubblegum/berries, medium sweetness/sugar, malts and a tart/alcoholic finish.
