Pours a deep amber color with a nice head. Aroma is heavy pine with some earthy notes. Taste has a strong bitterness but it mixes well with the other flavors. There is also some hops and a mild citrus.

Bottle at home. Pours a lovely dark golden colour with a decent white head. Resinous hop aroma of pine, sandalwood, caramel and alcohol. Similar pine hop flavour upfront with a fair degree of bitterness. Moderate carbonation and an oily mouth-feel. Alcohol and pine linger nicely.

22 ounce bottle into tulip, bottled 1/9/2012. Pours slightly cloudy golden amber color with a nice 2 finger dense off white head with great retention that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Some decent lacing on the glass. Aromas of huge pineapple, orange, grapefruit, lemon peel, floral, and some herbal spiciness. Very nice and well balanced aromas; with good strength. Taste of big pineapple, grapefruit, orange zest, lemon zest, herbal spiciness, pine, tropical fruits, honey-like sweetness, and some breadiness. Good amount of bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of pineapple, citrus, herbal, pine, and some tropical fruits. Fantastic balance of bitterness and sweetness. Medium carbonation and body; with a slightly creamy and smooth mouthfeel. Quite drinkable at 8%, with only a slight alcohol warming after the finish present. Overall this is an absolutely outstanding and drinkable DIPA. Big fruitiness, with great balance, and smooth drinking. Glad I knew that this was a fresh one thanks to my regular store.

Poured into a tulip glass from bomber. No date on bottle. Aroma: Aroma of peaches and citrus. slightly floral. very hoppy and theres some grapefruit in there. can’t taste the 8% alcohol, very well hidden Appearance: golden orange color and slightly hazy when poured. sediment in bottle. very minimal head which faded quickly Taste: lightly sweet with a bitter aftertaste. Palate: medium body and slick texture. lively carbonation but faded toward end of glass and bitter finish Overall: Very impressed. Not usually a big fan of IPAs but this one surprised me. will likely buy again for the price ($3.49)

Yellow-amber body with an off-white head. Hoppy-cheesy aroma, not very well balanced though. Ok aroma but not impressive. Moderately bitter, lightly sweet flavour. Bit weak and dull, but ok in the end.

Poured from a bomber into a pint glass. Color was honey pale, almost like very dehydrated urine. Surprised at how clear it was. About a finger width of head. Light white lacing with sporadic bubbles on the top. Sporadic film on the sides, not as much as I would have though. Smelled tons of hops right from the get-go. Citrus heavy as expected. Seemed to be more lemon than anything else. Sweet sugary floral notes in there as well. Tasted similar to the nose, although not quite as good. Lemon and pine citrus hops led the way, giving way to a bitter finish. Medium-to-light body. Thin texture. Average carbonation. Bitter finish, but fairly crisp and refreshing. Very good beer. Good balance with a clean and crisp mouthfeel.

Lovely beer, had it in BrewDog Glasgow on draft. Very easy to drink for such a strong beer and not too sickly sweet like some double IPAs can be.

tiong (1000) - Espoo, FINLAND - JAN 24, 2012
660ml bottle from Whole Foods California St, San Francisco, CA

Pours light orange with a small foamy white head. Aroma has notes of fresh floral hops, fruits, grass, wheat and caramel malts. Taste is very fresh with floral hops, some light sweet malts and hints of grass and pine. Finish is hoppy and bitter with a nice fruity touch. Overall a very well balanced IIPA.
