4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20 beernbourbon (1146) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - NOV 24, 2011Pretty old bottle, I think about 3-4 years. Pour is deep dark brown/ almost black with a mdium rich and thick brown head. Aroma is so good. Like a rich chocolate milk shake with hints of berries and lactose. My goodness does that smell good. Flavor is also crazy smooth and good with loads of milk chocolate and a very faint caramel-berry note. This is really good. Not a hint of oxidation to be found. Really surprised. The only way to take anything off is that it is not overly complex, but what is there is incredible.
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 J_man (535) - Tustin, California, USA - MAY 16, 2013
Molasses, vanilla and charred wood aromas. Black hole black with a wispy, glass ringing brown head. Campfire smoke and charred wood flavors followed by a taste saving molasses and dark chocolate sweetness. I would have thought this might be a dark Rauchbier from the taste due to the smokiness. There’s a lot of bitterness in here, but it’s hard to tell what’s dark roasted malt and what’s hops. I think the underlying earth/forest floor taste must be from the hops. The chocolate, smoke and acrid bitterness sticks to the tongue but in a good way and this stays behind in the aftertaste. A very light body for such a strong beer (taste and ABV). A very unique beer. Whoops, I’m supposed to be celebrating American Craft Beer week! Thanks Norway!

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Rugamu (51) - SPAIN - MAY 14, 2013
Imperial stout suave, con toques de café y ciruela incluso un toque a vino. Negra con espuma marron claro fácil de beber. No se nota el alcohol. Podría repetir, pero le falta un algo.
3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Torrefacto (59) - - MAY 10, 2013
4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 lliams (84) - Hawthorn, AUSTRALIA - MAY 4, 2013
been looking forward to this for a while.. pouring it looked amazing. so thick- the head almost completely solid, but fades quickly-
the aromas are kinda- volatile- really kinda, propelled?
the taste is heavy but so smooth- low bitterness well balanced. so nice.
palate is oily, slick with good length.
so good

Rich roasted malty goodness. Big pure black poor with slight head remaining. Thick, velvety and not what I expected with the mention of wheat in there. great beer. This is why I like Winter!

4.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20 Gurthnar (605) - Bratislava, SLOVAK REPUBLIC - APR 20, 2013
Bottle from OleR, shared by Cuso. This was The Surprise of the evening during our small tasting session. Aroma coffee, chocolate, vanilla, clearly noticeable wheat character. Some light banana appears later. First hint of an interesting beer. Pitch black colour, dark brown head. Taste has clear wheat ale characteristics, wheat, vanilla. At the same time roasted, coffee, some chocolate. Finish goes more in line with the "stout half" of this beer. Really exciting, interesting, fun beer. Complex artisanal jewel. I did not think it was even possible to blend wheat beers and stouts this well. It retains characteristics of both in a very tasty and easily drinkable way. Big experience for me.
