4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
From a 500ml bottle on 12/11/2012 (batch no. 413, BB 02/2017). Pours close to black with a lovely medium light tan head. Has a lovely chocolatey aroma with some woody and unusual floral notes. The flavour is sublime, with an explosion of milk chocolate, along with some caramel fudge, a with a dash of espresso, a touch of vanilla, and a hint of dark fruit. Countering is a massive roasty bitterness and big hop presence. The palate is velvety and the carbonation perhaps a shade higher than a typical for the style. Incredibly moreish and easy to drink for something that’s 10.5%. An astoundingly complex, exceptional imperial stout.

50cl bottle, served in Snifter. Pitch black colour with beige head. Nice lacing. Aroma is coffee, vanilla and chocolate. Taste is coffee, dark chocolate, dried fruits and hints of citrus. There’s quite a lot of hops, especially noticeable on the palate along with the roasted flavours. Full and creamy mouthfeel, perfect carbonation. Very good Imperial Stout.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Draught. Black colour, small head. Aroma is liquorice, chocolate, fruity. Alcohol not noticeable. Lacks some aggressiveness. Quite sweet, but not cloying. Smooth. Very good, but I prefer other imperial stouts from Amager.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bardzo drobna, trwala, choc niska piana. W aromacie trochę gorzkiej czekolady i sosu sojowego. Wydaje się nieco miodowo-slodkawy. Dosc gęste w odczuciu. W smaku czekoladowe, palone. Dobrze ukryty alkohol. Jest nieźle.

UPDATED: MAR 20, 2016 500ml bottle served in regular glass. Purchased at Craftissimo (http://www.craftissimo.hk) - Hong Kong.
A: Pours a dark brown almost black color forming a big and very creamy beige head with great retention and tons of lingering molasses lacings formed and left in the glass. Small beige particles can be seen floating around.
S: Nose is great: Fruity and roasted. Roasted malts, dark chocolate, licorice, coffee, vanilla and earth. Notes of cherry and dry plums. Reminds a cherry liquor bonbon :). Grassy Centennial hops finish.
T: Sweet upfront. Strong notes of roasted malts, oat, dark chocolate, licorice, coffee, vanilla, cherry and dry plums. Grassy. Medium bitterness. Biscuity and very smooth.
M: Heavy creamy body. Medium to low carbonation. Roasted malts in the aftertaste.
O: Excellent drinkability. Extremely smooth and easydrinking to such a strong beer. Masterpiece

Bottle shared at the 2015 edition of the chriso Pre-GBBF tasting - London. Vintage 2012. Cheers! Pours black-brown with a frothy, tan head. Lots of roasted malts in the aroma, burnt grains, earth. Medium sweet flavour, somewhat boozy, with lots of ashy roast, burnt earth, bittersweet baking cocoa. Full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Lightly warming on the finish, with further hard ash and baking cocoa. Quite robust stuff. Solid.

Deep, dark aroma of chocolate, coffee, vanilla and autumn leaves. Black with a good, tanned head. Layered taste, bitter, umami. Full bodied, long, long after taste. This beer has Wow! factor.
