Pours exactly what you would expect from a choclate stout. Dark brown color off white creamy head. vanilla, caramel, choclate, and mild coffee scents. Perfect taste of all just listed. Kinda regret only having one.

Tap. Very dark with big foamy light than head and some lacing. Smells like a good dark today coffee bean and cocoa. This sounds wired but I almost angel a hint of Cap’n Crunch. I just get the roastiness and a nice dryness and a hint of bitter in the flavor. Light dry body. Mmm...

Aromas of coffee, toffee, grainy malts and significant hops. Appearance is a deep magenta with a thick, brown foam top. Flavor is roasted nuts and coffee upfront quickly followed by a sweet chocolate finish. Moderately carbonated with a suprisingly thin body. Hops are somewhat noticeable with some herb and alcohol present. Overall, this is a decent stout with flavors of chocolate and coffee being most present. Thin in texture. I wouldn’t say I love it, yet it’s above average. C+ rating.

Sampled with K whilst watching Game of Thrones. Not as good as I had remembered. The chocolate, while definitely present, just comes across as a roasty, nutty/vegetal, cocoa mess. I didn’t find anything well balanced, melded together, or well defiined. Guess I could have just been in the mood for something else, but I really didn’t care for it too much.

pours very dark, almost black, creamy caramel head, amazing chocolate aroma but faint chocolate flavor, more roasty notes and some coffee come through, slightly bitter finish... would prefer a stronger chocolate flavor to match the intense chocolate aroma

Pour dark brown, almost black, with a small creamy tan head. Aroma has plenty of chocolate on the nose. Really delicious. On the palate though, not much chocolate is present. Slight coffee and roasted malts. Taste is a little bitter, with slight chocolate - sweetness. Watery body, with a semi-flat carb. Would have loved to get some more weight into this one.

One of my favorite stouts. Chocolate flavor is amazing. It's a little thin for a stout and not very complex but it's still a solid stout. Would love to see a barrel aged type offering of this. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at Rose Alley. Pours black with a thick caramel colored head. Aroma is of chocolate, cocoa, and malts. Flavor is of malts, chocolate, and it’s quite roasty. Leaves a nice lacing. Leaves a roasty chocolate malt finish.

great black color, light brown head...nice mocha aroma...peppery, coffee grounds, malts... bitter aftertaste lingers on the tounge. Gotta agree, the longer it sits out the better the aroma..

i was very intrigued about this beer and it didnt disappoint. This was my first chocolate stout and I was overwhelmed by the amount of dark chocolate flavour flowing through the beer. As it got warmer the chocolate aroma began to become more and more evident. Was incredible. Very smooth taste not too bitter or hoppy at all. Definitely leave out of the fridge for 15 mins prior to drinking to enjoy the dark chocolate aroma. Must have very impressed!!!

Yep- this is exactly what it says it is. Black with a fluffy tan head. Dark chocolate nose, and a richer chocolate palate. Higher carbonation than one might expect, but rich and high in "yummy". Long finish.
