COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

English: The Double IPA is an American inspired, dark amber beer with a beautiful light coloured head. The brewer has chosen to dry hop this IPA which adds to the full and complex hop profile of Cascade, Chinook and Centennial. The IPA has a very full body, with a soft yet strong flavour and a very bitter finish - the result has to be experienced. Goes with spicy dishes, but is best enjoyed on its own.

Umm I like this. Amber color with large light brown head. The aroma i heavy with citrus and a faint touch of nuts. The taste is dominated with cascade and chinook adding to the citrus and giving a long lasting heavy taste.

A Danish double IPA? Very similar to its American cousins, though perhaps a bit more coaching would have been beneficial on the best use of flavoring hops. The caramel malts in this amber colored beer dominate the bitterness throught the taste. The aroma is pleasant and floral with a bit of bread. Tried on the 5th of May in Amsterdam along the Amstel, watching the bevrijdingsdag celebrations with the Queen.

7- Pours with a lovely bold fruity aroma, there’s a bit of citrussiness with some floral fragrances too. In the glass, that soon subsides behind a very American style cakey sweetness. It’s that sweetness that provides the minus sign to the score.
4 Cupric, with a similarly orangy head. Head persistent, but ends a bit scummy and sticky.
7+ Good full taste - I’ve not had a midtfyns for a long time, but this is everything good I remember about them. Malts, as expected, are super sweet and caramelly. Do I detect some saccharine too? Hops have both the spicy and citurussy aromatic components, but also a biting zesty bitterness too, with just enough earthiness to stop it being just an ephemeral aromatic overdose.
4+ Full, definitely full. Smooth, and a little sweet, but this was served a bit warm, so it would obviously be stickier than if at the recommended temperature. The finish is excellent - everything from the taste is there for a very long time, and the bite of the hops has turned into a lovely tingle, and even a clovey numbness. Later I get some pencil sharpenings, but on the whole, this presses my buttons.
14 Straight down the line strong American style Imperial IPA. With all the negatives that implies, but all the positives too. Covers 9.2% very well. I can imagine wanting several of these back to back.

This was a quite heavy, but balaced IPA. Very high alcoholpercentage, but I didn’t really notice it that much, Aroma of citrus, raisin, floral. Very long and bitter finish. Nice warming feeling. Cool detail that the have included braille characters on the label! Would definitely grab this one again.

100 cl. 2 bottles in one glass. Colour is dark amber, almost brown, yet clear, with beige dense foam. the aromas are clear of hops, and a bit malty aswell. the taste was a bit alcoholic, but not at all unpleasent. very hoppy, but the flavour of the hops was kinda flat. all in all a good beer.

0.5 l bottle from Alko. Hazy deep amber color. Aromas of toffee, flowery citrus, pine and perfumy alcohol. Bitter and toffeish flavor with nuts. Fairly restrained lemony and piney hop character for a dipa. Not bad in a barley wine category.

Bottle 50 cl, Alko Arkadia. Dark brown pour with little red in it. Aroma has malty sweets and lots of hoppyness in it. Too much sweets to my taste really. Dryish finish.
