4.7 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Brought this out for Jay’s bachelor party. Congrats Jay and Patty! Pours a hazy faint orange in color with a small amount of tight white head. The nose is perfection....the pinnacle of what every beer should smell like. It’s like apricot purée, apricot jam, and fresh apricot skin all shoved into one glass. It’s bliss. The flavor is a balance of apricot, lemon, oak, and funk. It’s incredibly sour, but not yet bracing. I much prefer fresh Fou Foune to aged bottles because of the balance sour and apricot. Mouthfeel is light, it’s acidic, gentle carbonation, and a long, pleasant finish. I’m hard pressed to think of many beers that surpass Fou Foune in quality. It is one of the best fruit lambic from probably the best brewery in the world. I need like 70 more bottles of this.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle (Bottled 28.aug 2012). Pours a cloudy pale orange with a large head. Diminishes rapidly to a centimetre thick without leaving any lacings. Flowery aroma with loads of peach and apricot. Mellow tartness and acidity, and a faint hint of wood. Taste is refreshingly sour with high levels of carbonation. Fantastic citrusy, acidic fruityness. Fizzy on the palate. Dry finish witch leaves a light bitter, acidic touch. Doesn’t get much better than this! :)

Huge thanks to Jake for sharing this one. Bottle that was apparently pretty fresh. Pours gold, murky, some white head. Aroma of barnyard peaches diaper fruitylicious yeah! Cantillon. Taste:fruit, peach, really surprisingly dry; funky but not tart. So nice. Dirty and great. Wait, this is apricot? Man, I really don’t know my fruits. I suck. This beer doesn’t suck, though -- this beer is pretty damned tasty.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
November 26, 2013 - attack of the fruited sours continues. Light orange pour with large amount of head that lasted for a while. Aroma was a little bit sour, but also a nice sweet light fruit / apricot and some yeast / barnyard funk came through as it warmed. I am just digging this interesting aroma. The taste was nicely balanced. Some tartness in there, but well balanced by the sweet fruit and the funky yeast. Had the Cascade Apricot right before and this just blows it away. 2012 vintage. Happy Birthday Darcy!

Notes from backlog. Oh dear, what a powerful flavor! Overpowering acidity, and really made me do my "happy sour face". Hints of apricot are present, but mostly just citrusy and vinegar sourness.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle @ tasting, courtesy of kermis. Pours a light blonde, murky apricot coloured beer with a very small, quickly fading off white head. Aroma is apricot funk, light brett and a touch of oak. Flavor is medium sweet with a fruity tartness in the back. Very fresh and fizzy on the tongue. Very nice to drink this beer. Nice!

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle courtesy of Kermis. Poured a murky light brown with a round white head. The aroma is big apricot citrus and yeast. The flavour is medum sour with a strong acidic sour palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation and a thin texture. This beer would go very well with many different types of food. Wine move over!

Thin white head. Sludgy pale orange pour. Sour. Some apricot. Pretty decent for a sour.

Hazy orange-tan. Frothy, soft off-white head. Barnyard apricot. Outright lemon-apricot sourness. Tangy, super fluffy body. World Class all the way. One of the greatest Lambics. Wow. Orange, grapefruit...captures a huge range of citrus flavor. So superior to US sours it hurts.
