Pours a nice golden honey color with a thin white head. Aroma has nice tartness and soft apricot. Flavor is very tart...near lemony...soft smooth apricot creeps in to cut the tartness without adding sweetness. Nice light lively mouthfeel with a slightly acidic apricot finish. Fabulous.

Another great lambic from Cantillon. Great orange colour, well balanced carbonisation, nice lambic/fruity nose. Taste is obviously quite sour, a bit disappointed on the apricot taste which is very light, not very obvious. I still prefer their Kriek, but clearly a good one...

Peachy tart apple aroma, sour peach and apricot taste with some funky backbone, lean and vinous light carbonation great brew for sure.

Bottle '14. The pour is a peach color. The aroma is a sour fruit. The taste is mild, some sour bite but not much. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

My 2000th rating. Have had this bottle for about 5 months. Kept in my wine fridge. I’ve heard that the fruit fades on this over time, so time to drink it. The pour is golden amber, hazy, with a large light fluffy white foam head which dissipates to thin after a few minutes. Nose is delightful. There’s effervescent soda, sherbet, sour lactobacillus, apricot fruit, slight volcanic mineral note. It’s far more delicate, fragrant, light and more balanced than I expected. Really delightful fruit and sherbet nose. I had the fresh apricot Cantillon at GBBF a few years back and it was bolder on the fruit and more straightforward. This is lighter. Taste is sour lactobacillus, apricot fruit, apricot stones, tart sour. The sourness is fairly lip puckering, with just enough fruit to balance it out. Very clean sourness and tartness which is good. Soft and delicate on the palate. Finish is a tingling lactobacillus tartness on the back of the tongue and throat, soda water tingle, minerals. Subtle, clean, light fruity and bold sourness. This is a refined Cantillon, worthy of the reputation. Would like to taste it fresh to get more of the fruit.

(sample from bottle, thanks Blade86) Yellow, very hazy, untransparent colour. Small white head, rapidly reduced to foam. Soft carbonation, light body, watery a bit oily texture. Aroma is moderate sweet with Strong notes of apricots, medium strong aromas of brettanomyces and white wine, soft wood. In taste, very sour, a bit tart with notes of apricot. Finish is medium long, tart with soft notes of oak

Tap @ Borefts. Pours a hazy light orange color with huge rocky white head. Huge, dominant apricot aroma with the funky barnyard character in the back. Funky, tart, barnyard, sweet, flavor...fruity, peach/apricot flavor comes through in the finish. Very juicy, fruity, tasty overall with a mild sourness.

Draft. Musty yeast, apricot, malt and straw aroma. Hazy golden yellow with small head. Sweet-tart apricot, malt and typical Cantillon musty flavor. Nice body. As if CBS wasn’t enough, got to try this today as well.

UPDATED: JAN 5, 2015 75cl bottle, 2014 (aug) vintage, shared by oldmanriver at his forced potluck post-Nikolaus tasting 12/2014. Fresh bottle radiating with what the fruit harvest had to offer: A cubist framing of all fruity and fresh fleshy aspects of apricot, carried by a dry & funky sour Cantillon frame: peel, flesh and pit represented in a brew so perfect and simple it becomes synonymous with unrelenting tradition, this Rhenian side of Franconia. - Will revisit aged.
