Bottle from Cotteridge Wines, Birmingham. Pours a beautiful, warm yellow, a soft fluff top. Aroma is a multiple experience: pumpkin, flower, wheat, icing, hop (of the harvest/European variety) - what AM I talking about? The strength is detectable and warm, the taste is fresh, juicy, tart and sweetly bitter. Like a wheat beer, but also like a DIPA. I’m not explaining myself properly, but the thing to take away from this review is that I loved this. It is a magnificent beer.

Bottle. Hazy golden pour with a white head. Globally hop aromas. Lots of sweet maltiness with prominent grapefruit hop notes. Undercurrents of honey. Creamy and smooth. Good body and mouthfeel.

Bottle sample. Hazy golden-yellowish with huge bubbly off-white head. Soapy aroma, some maltiness, floral, notes of honey and some fruitiness (mostly apricot). Very sweet flavor, soapy, honey, apricot, some hoppy notes. Light carbonation, Medium-bodied.

It has a hazy yellow-orange color, stable white head. It smells like citrus fruits, banana . It has a full body taste and medium carbonation, bitter finish.

500 ml bottle. Murky sediment filled orange yellow, fine off-white lasting foam. Aroma is citrus, wheat, yeast, floral. Taste is tangy citrus, banana, fruity yeasty, wit malt, some caramel, moderate noble hop influence. Softer carbonation, light-medium bodied. Tasty refined brew. LBW (Lagerboys Be wary)

Hoppy aroma and taste. Tastes slightly licoricey to me. The alcohol isn’t overpowering.

Aroma: cloves, citrus hops, herbal, melanoidins. Appearance: hazy amber color, poor white head. Taste: medium bitterness, citrus, pine, bakery yeasts, alcohol (not well-covered). Palate: full body and medium carbonation, bitter finish. Overall: Quite interesting doppelbock, but that is not my pair of shoes.

0,5 l, bottled 4/7/2014. Very hazy, yellow-orange with frothy, stable, white head. Heavy hoppy aroma of lemon, passion fruit, mango, grapefruit, orange and hints of banana. Very delicate and appetising! Really complex taste of banana, lemon, passion fruit, grapefruit and yeast. Full-bodied, thick and creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation and a long, medium bitter, slightly alcoholic finish. What a fantastic beer from a great brewery!

Hazy amber orange, with off-white head. Aroma is banana, spice, clove, caramel, citrus and resin. Taste is the traditional spice and clove notes of a hefeweizen, but instead of that long lingering sweet finish you get nice crisp citrus flavours from the hops. Full bodied, creamy, softly carbonated and with a short, crisp finish. Very impressed with this one. Also surprisingly light and drinkable for a beer that’s 8.2% ABV.

Tykkelse og tyngde lidt over medium. Jeg var bange for at denne øl var overvurderet, men den er faktisk overraskende god! En usædvanligt god balance imellem frisk humle og sommerlig hvede kontra sødme og tyngde.
