pours blood red with no head. aroma bursts with tart cherries, raspberries, earthy, vinegar. drinks with tons of juicy tart cherries with pit and sweet raspberries. tartness peeks through the whole drink with just enough pucker to make you want more and more. finishes sweet with tons of fruits and berries coating the palate. just amazing.

Bottle shared at my 30:th birthday tasting on May 5 (30 år av Surt). Courtesy of sebletitje. Pours deep brownish red with a rather small pinkish white head that is rather quick to dissipate and doesnät leave much trace on the glass. Smell is tiny sweet, sour and fruity with raspberries, sour cherries, hay, dusty barnyard, lemon juice, lemon zest and hints of leather, horse blanket and oxidation. Taste is sour and fruity with raspberries, wood, horse blanket, sour cherries, lemon zest, wheat crackers, leather, dark grapes and hints of vinegar and bilberries. Mouthfeel is tart, dry, intense and medium to full bodied. Finish is sour, tart and fruity with raspberries, sour cherries, grape zest, lemon zest, wood, hay and hints of oxidation. Fruity, sour and plain incredible. Many thanks Seb for bringing me this!

Bottle at "30 år av surt", on May 5, 2012 in Göteborg. Bottled 14 dec. 2007. Couleur pourpre/acajou, col fin beige léger.

Murky copper color, very small pink head. Extremely sour scent, might just be the most sour beer I have ever smelled. Very sour, dry, yummy taste. Gut killing sour, so f***ing nice! Mouthpuckering sour and smooth mouthfeel, very low bitterness.
One of the best beers I’ve tasted.

Bottle with great thanks to the Wolf. Pours a hazy light copper colour with subtle red tinges. Smallish billowy light pinck head. Amazing complex earthy aromas of raspberries, brett and plenty of funk. Sublte acidity in the back ground. This is very good. Flavours are sweet thanks to the raspberries with a balancing tartness. Plenty of lambic sourness comes through in a very dry finish. Brilliant beer. Thanks heaps Rene.

thanks to Bluebetty for the bottle pours a darker cherry color with a thin white collar. Not very impressive but it works. Nose however is another deal. Earthy raspberry and wood. Very nice and not in your face like others. Good raspberry taste. Slightly dirty and slightly funky. Not over the top at all. nice sour dry finish. WOW thanks for this

Bottle shared by madtowndmb1...thanks Kyle! - Pours reddish and hazy, with a thin ring of off-white head. Nose is funky, with lots of stinky cheese, rotting raspberries, a touch of sulfur, and a layer of oak. There’s some plastic in there as well that I can’t ignore, as it detracts from the nose overall. Taste is very similar, with rotting raspberry, cheese, and a bit of oak. It’s got some plastic on the finish when it’s cold, but as it warms it smooths out nicely and the plastic recedes. There’s lots of fizzy carbonation that bites a bit. A bit of burn on the finish. Soft fluffy body. Really interesting, and I’m glad I got to try it, but it’s waaay funky. A little too much for me, as I’m not a stinky cheese sort of guy, but still good stuff.
