Very malty. Sweet, chewy. Caramel. Toffee, sweet potato casserole with roasted marshmallow. Loss of fluffy ness in this.

Hazy amber body. Lightly brown head. Very well balanced aroma of hops, wines, grapes with some nice complexity on top. Heavily bitter, moderately sweet aroma of caramalts and american hops. Like it!

Hefiger und alkoholischer Antrunk, der sonst eher leer wirkt. Auffallend mild, kaum würzig, einfallslos. Zum Ende hopfiger. Komisches Bier, das mich nicht überzeiugen kann. /9/9/7/11/8

Reviewed from notes. Thanks to bmanning for this bottle.
Pours a moderate orange color with a white head with surprising staying power and lace. The nose brings strong American hops with a lot of citrus. Some sweet malt underneath with light fruits. The taste is a bit more balanced with some strong citrus flavors meeting head on with sweet malt, light fruits, cherries, and a bit of alcohol. Good medium body with a nice alcohol bite and a good level of bitterness. Overall this drinks quite well and is toward a malty DIPA.

Bomber via trade. Does DP stand for "donkey punch" or is it...drain pour maybe? Pours hazy amber with a one-finger creamy off-white head and very good lacing. Very sweet and malty aroma, with caramel, brown sugar, resins, and herbal notes. Sweet and sugary malty flavor, with both brown and white sugar evident, caramel, toffee, and faded herbal hops. A little too sweet. Sticky and slightly syrupy on the mouthfeel with soft carbonation. About average or maybe a little better for the style.

Bottle from a trade with kp. Pours dark orangish amber color with off white head. Sweet fruity aroma with lots of citrus. Sweet caramel flavors with big citrus hops. Medium to full body with moderate carbonation. A nice hoppy (American) barley wine. Thanks Keith.

Big ass bottle. British barley wine, but hoppier. OK, maybe it’s just an American one, but sweet.

Big thanks to alexsdad06 for handing us this bottle at the end of the Grand Tasting. Pours a hazy orange with a good head and good lace. The aroma is some fruity hops and plenty of orange marmalade. The flavor is pretty earthy with some orange rind and fruity hops abound. Pretty nice beer!
