COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Samichlaus is brewed once a year on December 6, and is aged for 10 months before bottling. It is one of the rarest specialties in the world. Samichlaus may be aged in the bottle for many years to come, as older vintages become more complex. Brilliant deep amber, complex dry toasted malt nose and huge intensely sweet palate. The 2007 bottling is the first bottling since 1987.

Amber gold in color with a thin whitish head. Extremely strong and sweet with a wine-like aroma and flavor. Malt, alcohol, caramel, and slight spice.

Bottle from SuperBest Rřdovre. Clear golden colour with a small white head. Aroma and flavour of alcohol, malt and sweet sugar.

Pours with a thin fizzy head that quickly disappears, leaving what looks like a big glass of brandy. Aroma is toffee and malt. Taste is sweet and feels very thick, almost like agave nectar. Anyone that thinks this has an alcohol burn needs to drink more hard liquor.

Pours a surprisingly clear gold hue. Aroma of syrup, German malta and honey. Taste is Sweet. And that is the biggest understatement I have ever made while rating beer. On a second sip I begin to distinguish some subtleties of the flavor. Reminds me of celebrator with a cup of sugar added. The finish has notes of cider, but sweet not sour. The alchohol is completely masked save for a slight burning in your stomach a minute after you swallow.

Bottle; pour is fairly clear golden with a modest white head in this glass. The nose is sweet breads, caramel, toffee, and more sweetness. The flavor profile is slightly muted out of the gate, with a fruity, bready malt note followed with caramel, toffee, and brown sugar. Again, merry christmas!

Real sweet nose and alcohol heat. Honey, maple and come citrus liqueur type notes. Copper gold color, clear, no head whatsoever. Medium+ sweetness with caramel, maple and some hints of vanilla. Light bitterness with hints of citrus. Slick and thick mouthfeel. Very sweet attack and a lingering syrupy sweet finish with just a touch of hops to balance. Surprisingly enjoyable for such a boozy and sweet beer. Not to be guzzled but a great fireside sipping beer.

This bock has the characteristic malts but has a very unique sweet/sour combo along with dominant alcohol presence with cranberry notes and med syrup body. The color is a light golden with quick fizzing head
