10th September 2008. Sour start but thankfully not dominated by sourness as the oaky notes reign it in. Fairly dry and bitter finish. Not beer nirvana for moi!

Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy dark brown/amber color with a small longlasting off-white head. Has a malty dark fruit nutty and slightly yeasty aroma with hints of caramel. Smooth malty and slightly tart cherry flavor with some oaky hints and some hints of caramel and dark fruit. Has a smooth malty and slightly tart cherry finish.

Sampled from the bottle at O’Briens Lost Abbey Rare Bottle tasting. Color was cloudy brown amber. Small tan head. Aromas of fruit, and sourness. Medium body. Flavors of predominant sour cherries, sweet malt, brett, and earthy funkiness. Good lingering finish. Yummy brew.

Bottle. I found this to be a tad overrated. Not bad, but the 004 veritas kicked this one’s ass. Pours a brown color with a small head. Aroma has vinegar, sherry, cherries, wet wood, booze and some tart funky notes. Flavor reminds me of a rodenbach mixed with a la folie and some boozy notes added in. It was nice...but not spectacular IMO.

Thanks to Sprinkle for sharing! Muddy brown pour with purplish hues. Fizzy off white head and no lace. Sherry and fruity aroma. Really compl;ex flavor profile. Sherry , oak, sour cherry, brett, gum and roast. Wow this stuff is good!

Cloudy brownish color with no head. Aroma is sweet fruit, some sourness and some faint sherry. Flavor is more sour but still has a nice sweetness and dark sour fruit. A hint of brett dries out the finish and ends sour.

Bottle @ WTF OMG! Poured a murky brown. Nose was candy sugar, mild sour, sour cherries, roasty grain, brett funk. Flavor was rich malt, mild sourness, lactic acid, barnyard, candy, bubblegum and big sour cherry. Beauty!

Hazy, murky amber. Acidic sour ale, aggressive finish. Not fizzy. Smooth. Must aroma. Layers of fruit and sour. Interesting. Bottle shared at RBSG 2009 grand tasting.
