COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
"Vintage 2005"
Our PGR has aged for 24 months on oak barrels and has been bottled for the first time on the 27th of December 2007. The main difference with the Pannepot Reserva is that PGR matured the last ten months on Calvados oak barrels, adding extra complexity to the beer. We dedicate this beer as a tribute to Jeppe & Michael of Ølbutikken in Denmark. Those gentlemen were the first to discover our beers on an International basis back in 2004 and are responsable somehow for our beers being all over the globe since then. As a token of gratitude towards Jeppe & Michael, the first shipment of PGR was scheduled to Ølbutikken so they could be the first to launch its commercialisation.

2005 bottle. deep brown, almost black, with a small beige head. nose of licorice, toast, clove, black jack gum. smoky rich caramel calvados wood, spicy black jack gum, molasses and occasional purple grape flavors. light, airy palate similar to the other pannepot’s but velvety and smooth at the same time. the palate of these beers is incredible. aged well.

Bottled, thx rlgk. Pours black with a small brown head. Smells and tastes figs, raisins, dark chocolate, abit alcohol and roasted malt. Well balance and creamy.

Bottle from Stirchley Wines, Brum. Wowee. Magnificent. So smooth - the burnished caramelised medicinal bitters are creeping, balanced and lip smacking. Easy drinking. Fabulous.

Clear dark ruby red colour, tan head. Aroma of vanilla, caramel, malts, chocolate, apple sauce, light madeira and raisins. Sweet malty flavour, chocolate, caramel, light bitter, coffee with milk, raisins and notes of Pedro Ximinez. Full body, finish cacao, raisins, lingering sweet sherry.
Lovely beer!!

2008 bottle Grand Reserva ’Vintage’ 33 cl ("Limited edition of 30HI / 2 year") purchased in Brussels. This one is a bit too old. Aroma and flavor is somewhat flat. Light oxidation is evident. Oak is character nearly gone, but finish is somewhat brandy-like. Either handled improperly, or a bit past its prime. I can taste the potential, though - wish I had it a year ago!

2008 Vintage - Pours a dark red-brown color with minimal head. The aroma is tight. Sweet, but not overly complex. I thought maybe it was too cold, but it never opened as it warmed. On the palate however, the beer is quite interesting. Raisins, cola, caramel, and stewed apples make for a decadent treat. The barrel is only minimally evident.

2008-vintage. Bryggekunst.

Dark tan head. Very mild aroma compared with other pannepots. Taste is rich fruits. Not as much clarity as the basic pannepot. Palate is not too cloying. Nice. Overall, didn’t blow me away as expected.

Bottle. Pours hazy dark copper brown with airy light tan head. Dark aroma of malt, caramel and dried fruity with vinous notes. Sour, vinous flavour, giving way to malty sweetness, ending on a roasty note. Boozy aftertaste. Quite Decent.

2005 bottling. Dark brown pour with a very minimal tan head. Barnyard, licorice, brown sugar and stewed prune on the nose. It has such a rich impression. On the palate there’s cooked red fruit, molasses and brown sugar and myriad other things, leather. Incredibly complex. The body is pretty full and silky smooth.
