COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The history of the bible and religion is indeed the struggle of good vs. evil. Our Serpent’s Stout recognizes the evil of the dark side that we all struggle with. This is a massively thick and opaque beer that begs the saints to join the sinners in their path to a black existence.

Jet black fluid rolls out of the bottle. A very finely beaded mocha head forms on top and stays till the end. Stale dark chocolate, anise, espresso. Sweey/ sour/ tangy? Finishs with alcohol soaked toasted raisons. A more jammy, less roasty go at the style. Freakin’ yummy.

On the cold weather Pgh tour of winter 2015 spring at bocktown robinson, part 2. This is fricken hilarious. On the cold weather Pgh tour of winter 2015 spring at bocktown robinson, part 2. this is a rther smooth stout that you’d never think is an impy stout till the end. A really black beer. Has a head that provides for nice lacing. No real discernible aroma. Comes across rather sterile on the nose. At first it is rather mild and creamy then they git more and more alky like. Yes, 11%b you’d never know. One of the smoothest impy stouts above 10% I ever tasted. Yes rather reserved for a big alky impy stout.

Pours dark black with a nice bit of lacing. Smells of chocolate and coffee with a strong alcohol finish. Tastes rich and chocolatey with quite a smooth finish. Almost leaves a chalky residue in the mouth.....that without, would be a higher palate score.

On tap at Global Brew. Pours pitch black with a thick brown head. Smoke and burnt caramel aroma. Taste is thick rich and complex. There’s dark roast coffee, baker’s chocolate, blackstrap molasses, vanilla and sweet roasted malt. Bitterness is provided by the roasting malt. Love it!

75cl bottle shared with a friend. Pours deep black with a small brown head. Amazing aroma with notes of roasted malts, dark chocolate, molasses, a bit of burnt coffee and a small hint of alcohol. Flavour is off the hook, with notes of dark roasted malts, chocolate, honey. Mouthfeel is superb and has a long long aftertaste.

Inky evil incarnate though it may be, the taste is a dose of righteous divinity. Burrowing up from the onyx bowels of my glass (I know there is a bottom to it somewhere), potent aromatic punches of burnt wood and smoke, raisins, leather, charred toffee, vanilla, licorice, roasted malt and bitter dark chocolate seek to slay pedestrian senses. With a soft carbonation and excellent, oily mouthfeel, this abomination unto the the angels flexes a persevering bittersweetness as glorious tasting as its slick tan crown is looking. While this potion, by all rights, should be wreaking alcohol flavoured pandemonium, any boozy notes played are all palm-muted. Worthy of the disdaining gods, pair it with a blizzard for supreme indoor excellence of being.

Poured into a taster showing deep black with a finger of latte colored foam. Equal notes of soy sauce, toasted malts, caramel and cappuccino on the nose. The palate shows a full body, aggressive carbonation, black coffee with notes of roasted malts, slight coffee tartness and hints of smoke. The finish shows a strong espresso bitter finish and some spiciness from the carbonation. This is a BIG stout!

Draft. I can’t get any aroma b/c it’s allergy season. Lots of coffee. Lots and lots of thick coffee. More one note than I expected. Finish of baking chocolate.
