UPDATED: JUL 21, 2013 Pours black with a graham cracker head. Aroma is vanilla, solvent, herbs, spice, and something nice that I can’t quite place. Taste is dark fruit, very hoppy and malty, incredibly complex with loads of coffee; coffee for days. Super strong and incredibly delicious and drinkable. An absolutely excellent stout.

HEFTIG!!!!!!!&# Not for sissies!!!!!

Holy crap. Pours a thick, black and oily viscous opaque body with a thick, creamy tan head. The nose is rich and robust with a heavy roasted malt, light smoky cocoa and espresso with a pinch of anise. Smooth and super rich with tons of roasted bitterness. The finish is warm, and hot with a super thick and oily espresso bean lingering. Sip this brew for ever!

This is a hard one to rate, because its really something special! Yet, not a beer I would go and drink everyday! I drank the whole thing myself, and was actually a bit tipsy afterwards, and it definitely tasted better and better the more i Drank, yet, at some point i simply felt full and the last 25% was actually a bit hard to get down. All in all a fantastic experience, and definitely a beer I would recommend to try!

26/I/16 - 37.5cl bottle from Bierhalle Deconinck (Vichte) @ home - BB: 22/V/24 (2016-70) Thanks to Erwin for sharing the bottle!

Clear black beer, huge beige to brown irregular fluffy head, pretty stable, very adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: sweet, malty, alcohol, liquorish, cow fodder, caramel, coffee. MF: soft carbon, medium to full body. Taste: very hoppy start, malty, caramel, bit sourish, lots of alcohol, bitter. Aftertaste: alcohol, and lots of it, some overripe fruits, very hoppy, way too bitter, medicinal.

2014 edition, from tap at bar Beerokracja. Perfect aroma, dehydrated plums, chocolate, coffee. Taste is rather ’spoiled’ (since it’s just super awesome, not perfect) by the amount of alcohol. I don’t see the point of making it so strong. Fermentation deep like this one also steals a bit of it’s body. These are the downsides, but let’s face it’s an awesome beer in overall. For these amount of alcohol it’s quite drinkable. It gives a great feeling. And hey - it’s Black.

Alkohol: 17% obj.
Kolor : Najczarniejszy z czarnych.
Podsumowanie:
Niesamowite piwo! Zwala z nóg swoim charakterem i bogactwem.

Pours black with a thin, tan head. Aroma had huge notes of dark roasted malts, hints of smoke, alcohol, and some bready malts. Taste is a huge bitter mixed with alcohol. Sweet with a huge amount of hop bitterness to balance, then burnt alcohol at the end. Medium-full body with a low-medium carbonation. Syrupy in the mouth. Overall a bit too big or young for me. A lot of alcohol mixed with a lot of hop bitterness to balance the sweetness.

2011 Vintage. Pretty sure this is the strongest beer I have ever tried but surprised to see this comes in at 17%. Very little carbonation, very thick and drier than you might think. Almost akin to a dry Portuguese port although plenty of underlying sweet notes. Some raisins and treacle. Starting to fade a little and I think I have caught it well at just on 5 years.

Draught at Mikkeller Tokyo. Very rich and thick dark roasted malt character, plum, licorice, booze, long warming finish. Quite enjoyed it in the beginning but this just too much in the end, very heavy stuff, BA versions are quite fun though.
