Bière blanche de 5 % d’alcool. Elle possède un odorat d’agrumes, une odeur caractéristique à la blanche. Elle est très pâle. Elle possède un goût céréalier, d’orange et de citron en bouche. Elle possède également un minime goût salé. Excellente !

Transfer from BA review on 12-24-12- Poured from 750 ml corked bottle into a pint glass Appearance- The beer pours a hazy straw-yellow color with a huge white head. The head fades relatively quickly giving a very light level of lacing. Smell- The aroma has a strong wheat and sweet orange citrus aroma. Mixed with these are aromas of pepper, yeast, banana, and some coriander. Mixing with these more classic wit aromas are some peach aroma as well, giving it overall a rather sweet smell. Taste- The taste begins with a nice wheat bread and orange citrus flavor. As the taste advances some peach fruit flavors come to the tongue and sweeten the taste slightly. A yeast flavor comes to the tongue and brings with it other flavors associated, with them of banana and pepper nature, which come to the tongue more toward the middle of the taste. Along with these flavors also comes a light clove spice taste. This mix of flavors takes the taste to its end where a somewhat sweet fruit and wheat flavor to be left to linger on the tongue. Mouthfeel- The body of the beer is quite light and crisp with a carbonation level that is slightly on the higher side. The carbonation and light body are fantastic for the citrus and wheat flavors of the brew as well as for making for one very easy drinking beer. Overall- A nice example of a wit. It is smooth with good flavor and a quite nice feel.

12 oz bottle poured into flute glass. Pours a bright golden color with a good sized white head that dissipates quickly. Lots of cascading bubbles coming to the top throughout the experience. Smell is citrusy, other light fruits, maybe apricot, coriander, and some additional spices. Taste is clean with a good balance of hops and wheat along with a strong citrus/orange peel flavor. Finishes with a combination of the fruity yeast and some fresh black peppercorns. Overall, a great witbier, very refreshing, a great beer in the warmer weather months, but also enjoyable year-round.

Classic witbier as far as North America is concerned, creamy, fluffy off-white head, colour a cloudy ochre; malty aroma, wheaty, classically perfumed with coriander and citrus peel. Taste soft and citrussy at first, wheaty sourishness as expected, mellow, spicy tones of the coriander, elegant, refreshing finish. Very Belgian in style and stylistically stereotypical.

Cloudy golden with thin rimming white foamy lacy head; aroma is light; Flava is lightly tart hints of lemon; feels light slightly fizzy; finishes tart and dry

Citrus and light spice notes in the flavor. The wheat & extra yeast really help to round out the body without sacrificing drinkability or making it any less refreshing. Probably the best Belgian Witbier I’ve had yet - not sure how much that really says though. Great with or without an orange slice on a hot day.

I’m not a fan of the style, but decided to expand my horizons. Pale yellow color with a big white head. Aroma is fruit, spice, yeast. Taste is orange, pear, clove, sweet malt. It’s not bad, but I’m not really planning to try it again.

Had a pint- well, twenty ounces - in Old Montreal last week. Was amazed, to say the least, when I avoid Canadian beers at home in Vermont in favor for local craft brews. But, When in Rome...." Wow! This is light years ahead of the Molsons and Labatts that I drank in the 80’s and early 90’s before the microbrewery movement in the US put us ahead of our pals to the north, in my opinion. But enough history...to the Beer! A large cloudy glass of golden beer with a small, frothy head was brought to the table as I was waiting for my Poutine topped with Smoked Meat (again when in Rome). There was a fruity aroma - definitely orange - with a similar taste. Gotta say that it was one of the better beers I’ve had in a while and appreciated the long finish. My wife, who is not a beer drinker, was very impressed! Best beer I’ve ever had? Not that sure. Yet, this certainly convinced me that our Canadian friends realized loud and clear that American (micro)brewers moved American beer ahead of their’s and Unibroue has been fighting back hard for their country’s honor. I’ll be looking for this at my favorite beer places along with local and brews that I’ve never tried. Hope to go back to Montreal soon and will purchase some to bring back over the border if need be.

Pours a hazy yellow with good head. Aroma is fruity and citrusy. Taste is more citrus and fruit but not too sweet, if at all. Aftertaste is fruity and slightly short. Very drinkable and enjoyable!

Pours an opaque yellow with a very thin white head. Has an aroma of citrus, wheat, and spice. Flavor is slightly tart citrus, a little wheat, and a touch of spice. Not bad.
