4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle at Sean and Rushes, Leicester. Pours cloudy yellow, with a ring of froth. Smells beautiful: lemon, wheat, Belgo yeastiness. Taste is beautifully dry; packed with lemon, which squelches; pockets of pin-prick sweetness. Beautiful mouthfeel. A delightful beer. Really tremendous.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
(33cl bottle from Toft Vin; BBD: illegible) It pours a semi-clear pale golden with lively carbonation and medium white head that fades leaving a surface film. Decent lace. Aroma has the classical tripel component of yeast, spice and alcohol with notes of straw. Texture is kind of watery with a medium to light body and astringent finish. Flavour is largely like the aroma but with hints of bitterness. I miss the green fruit complexity that I recognize in the Tripel Karmeliet.

Bottle 0.33l at Moeder Lambic. Pours hazy dark yellow with medium white head. Medium carbonation. Aroma is yeasty, slightly sour. Taste is medium sweet and bitter, yeast spiceness. Dry and quite bitter for a triple. I really like this balance. Very good.

Very bitter tripel indeed, with a nice saison-like dryness. I liked it a lot.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from Proof. Clear deep golden pour with a large rocky white head. Very spicy and floral aroma with fruity yeast and citrus. Sweet estery yeast entry, candy sugars mid palate with maltiness fading into a dry spicy and floral note. Medium thick bodied with mild carbonation. No real noticeable alcohol. Pretty tasty.

[10/20/13] Draught at Eurhop Beer Festival 2013 in Rome. Hazy pale golden. Yeasty aroma, spicy, a bit floral, with some fruitiness. Sweetish flavor with fruity esters, some spiciness and a bit of alcohol. Medium-bodied.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Pours golden with billowy white head, just the way I like it. Nose is quite sharp Belgian yeast spice, orange, lemon. Flavour is a pumped-up Zinnebir with nice lemon tones. Finishes rather dry. Almost makes me want to return to Brussels. Almost.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On-tap in the lovely ’Red Rose Cafe’ Brugge on 22 Sep 2013.
Correct stemmed tulip glass: cloudy yellow body with a white crown.
Semi-sour with a yeasty and hop feel to the taste and nose. There was also a selection of mixed herbs somewhere within the beer, so the flavour was an interesting combination of feelings and tastes. Most enjoyable.
