Ingredients: Pale malt; Roasted barley; Oats; Washington Galena, Worcester Fuggles and Kent Goldings hops.
A superb, rich, full-bodied beer derived from a 1970s homebrewing recipe. Wickedly smooth chocolate dominates the flavour, which is nicely balanced by the bitterness of the hops.

Pours a very dark brown/black with big tan head laving a healthy covering and lacing a good ways up the glass. Aromas consist of roasted barley, burnt, chocolate, licorice, smokey, very rich. Flavours consist of strong burnt/roasted malt, coffee, smoke, chocolate, toast, a bitter dry finish. Make sure to let this beer warm up a little, it unlocks the full flavour and aroma.

25.9.2014. Aroma of sweetish coffee and chocolate, roasted malts, dark fruits. Apparently, rather oily texture, medium to full bodied, slightly burnt malts, still some coffee and chocolate. Finish is bitter. Well in balance. Somehow complex but still straightforward.

Botella 33 cl. Color marrón rojizo muy oscuro. Espuma beige claro media formación y persistencia media. Aromas a chocolate, malta, avena, cafe, algo herbal. En boca buen cuerpo textura cremosa carbonatacion baja, pegajosa... chocolate, avena, ciruelas pasas... café y lúpulos mas al final, mas amargo. Muy equilibrada.. Porter con mayúsculas.

Porter beer is usually not my "style", bit this one is more than acceptable. The taste of coffee is there, and the chocolate can be distinguished (well, after reading the label). This beer could be recognized as a light stout beer. Worth the try.

On tap @BBF2015 Noire c’est noire ! Petit collet, portée sur le café et le chocolat amer au niveau arômes. Buen ronde en bouche avec une finale amère.

Bottle @ Koht, Tallinn. Black color, small head. Like stout. Rather complex taste: flavors of nut, spice, so e chocolate and coffee. Smoked. Long aftertaste. Good, but not great.

Thought I’d rated this before. Mild charcoal aroma. Cola black, headless. Charred oak, some residual sweetness, far from cloying. Medium body, soft carbonation. Good, but not very complex.

From the name I expected something thicker. Dark amber color with a smallish head. A lot of caramel flavors. Not at all objectionable.roasty, black, frothy, medium sweetness, lightly bitter, full body, thick feel, average carbonation,
